Location to downtown and bus lines. Was kind of busy the night I checked in so it took a while for phones to be answered. Only on person at desk.
I love staying at Quality Inn Downtown. The staff was exceptional and made our stay worthwhile.
Cute and clean. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable! It had a great historic feel to it. Location was excellent. You could hear the people in the room above moving around, but it's a old hotel.

Being downtown was convenient. I regret getting an upgrade from the 3rd floor to the 12th because I ended up with an uncomfortable bed that sagged so much it felt indented. Having to pay for parking sucked. And my bed was so indented that I could not get comfortable. The pillows are too thick too.

The king bed was comfy, and the balcony was neat (though I'd get more use from it in the summer months...thought for next time). I found the amenities more lacking than I'd expected. I was pretty sure I saw cable TV listed, but the remote control's guide feature didn't work, and there weren't many channels. There was no mini-fridge; I thought those were pretty much standard in any hotel above "motor lodge" class. The toiletries (shampoo, body wash, etc) came out of dispensers). There were only a few cheap plastic cups in the room...so cheap that two of them were cracked and unusable before I even got them out of the plastic wrapper. I also expected parking to be included; instead, it was an extra 12 bucks. That's not awful, but for $100 a night you should be able to toss in parking.
Location Staff was rude and unprofessional, not to us but witnessed towards another guest. Hotel is old, outdated and needs a major remodel.
Location is great for shopping and downtown restaurants. Bath was in need of updating. Very limited parking lot. First floor check-in area was cramped, cluttered and needed updating.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly. They just smiled and welcomed us back when we were in and out all night with a big group of friends who also had rooms.
The location was great The hotel is very run down and looks to have not been upgraded in awhile. The rooms were dirty and falling apart. Wall paper in the rooms was coming off. There was dirt and dead mosquitos all over. One bed had a plywood backing on the wall to keep it tight. The lock on the door was loose.Paid extra because it was the hilton, but did not get my money worth.
The location is perfect. We walked everywhere we wanted to go.
The lady that checked me in was sweet and the bellmen that helped me in and out were spectacular The room was very tiny! The bathroom was even smaller! There was no ice machine nearby. When I ordered dinner, they were missing particulars from the order but did not tell me that when I ordersd
Wish there was a way to know when amenities are closed for service! And the spa has plants growing in it!!! Bummer
This is one of the most dated rooms O have ever seen in a Hilton. Otherwise lean and well-run, walkable to downtown shops and restaurants.
The hotel itself had everything we needed and the location was perfect for our needs i.e right next to the train station. the rooms were large and clean. The staff reception was one of the worst I had ever experienced anywhere in the world. We were not greeted for about five minutes despite the fact that they were not busy. We made eye contact with several staff however, they never came to the desk to assist us. One staff member at the counter, was too busy trying to assist a contractor (not a guest) and completely ignored us. When we finally did get service, the staff member did not appreciate that we had waited so long. Then, to add insult to injury, the rooms we had requested (adjoining rooms for our children) were obviously not arranged and it took the manager about ten minutes to sort it out.
Great value!! The only coffee provided was decalf. The name on out front is for the bar/restaurant, not the hotel.. I think it needs just one strong name for the whole establishment rather than multiple names.
I enjoyed the downtown location near quite a few excellent places to eat. I did take a cab a few times to midtown and the University and the front desk was very helpful in arranging my cabs.
Really great hotel that is central to exploring the historical areas of anchorage. The next block over is the statehood monument, city timeline, local history displays, giant carvings and statues, Alaska mint and photo ops. Also, shopping for local specialty items is all right there. Great breakfast!! Seemed mostly homemade, too. Long walk to room on super long hallway.
For the location, in close proximity to local bars and such its well worth the price. great live music in the hotel bar. One of my towels was kinda dingy, downstairs door from parking lot wouldn't open I had to walk around to another door. The neighborhood is pretty rough around there. Very limited parking.
Before we stayed at Anchorage Lofts Hotel we read a number of reviews that said the place was dirty, damaged and otherwise unpleasant. For this reason we payed pretty close attention while we were there and didn't notice any of these offenders. We stayed two nights, my boyfriend and I in one room and his father in another. After inspecting the rooms and other parts of the hotel we only determined that it was simply old. The bathrooms, linens, floors and furniture were all clean. The service was adequate... we had no complaints. I kept trying to find something "wrong" with the place after reading bad reviews but the only thing "wrong" was that it seemed very worn down. There were paint chips off of the walls in some places, the carpet had wrinkled up, and a lot of the hotel seemed like it had been through partial renovation. Everything was clean though, and everything worked in the rooms. I would say that if you're looking for a "fancy" place to stay, this doesn't quite make the cut, but for the price compared to the other hotels in the area it was definitely satisfactory.
Nice beds and towels Moved to two different rooms. First room the refrigerator was missing. Second room, refrigerator did not work and our food spoiled. Then we went to the pool. Apparently the pool was "under construction" so it was closed indefinitely ...the refrigerator and the pool were the primary reasons we booked at this hotel.
It was a decent place. I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but I was happy with my stay. There was some remodeling work going on but nothing that I was concerned about. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. A little disappointed the pool was under construction!
The bed was comfortable... Thats about all the pros for this hotel. Hallways were dark and barely lit, entire hotel smelled like mold or just downright disgusting to the point where my 2 year old daughter kept commenting on it. Room smelled just as bad even with the window left open the entire stay. I suggest you take your business elsewhere, the puffin Inn is cleaner, and cost about the same.
location, location, location The rooms were clean and everything functioned well. The staff at the front desk was nice and professional. We also appreciated the free and tasty coffee at the front desk. Thanks! It appears that this was a motel that was turned into a hotel. It just seems run down and a bit weird. It just doesn't seem like a standard hotel you see these days. Overall though it was ok.
I liked the location, the rooms were fairly clean, it had a kitchen with cook top and dishes, and the kids liked the swimming pool. It was quiet. Parking is and additional $10/night but we were able to park on the street for free from 10pm to 8am. The breakfast was just a few items, such as fruit, packaged oatmeal, or packaged muffins. There wasn't any room service.
Good location. Comfortable. Although they tried to charge me twice which was very inconvenient because I'm still waiting on my refund to get back into my account. They had inexperienced front desk workers but issue was taken care of
Was really disappointed with our stay. Had to pay for parking, was issued a parking pass but wasn't guaranteed a parking spot. the staff was rude and not helpful at all. The floors were dirty enough to turn my feet black. We stayed for two nights and didn't have room service. I went to front deck and the guy said the only clean the room if you stay for a week. So I could only get clean towles if I went and got them from the front desk. Had high hopes but was won't be staying here again.

Good location. The woman working the mornings was very helpful to correct mistakes made upon arrival. Free coffee. Hot tub was inaccessible. Loud guests during quiet hours. Broken key card readers.

Bed was comfortable. Room was spacious; we could spread out and relax. Nice to have a refrigerator. Good closet/drawer space. Need plastic glasses in the bathroom, or something other than large kitchen glasses to use. Seems a waste to use large glasses and put them in the dishwasher. Bathroom little small, but functional. Trains were a little loud at times.
Location was great. Very close to all of the Fur Rondy activities. Staff not super friendly. Airport advertising said Ramada included free breakfast but it did not.
I booked this place on the fly for a last minute business trip. The room was ~$92 and since I was only staying there for 11 hours, the price was right. The bed was comfortable. The locks on the doors worked. When I arrived at 9:30 pm, people were just sorta hanging out in the dimly lit parking lot. The car next to mine had interior lights on with no one inside. There was ~$60 in cash scattered around on the ground by the driver's door. I went inside and told the font desk attendant before she gave me my hotel key and she said she'd look into it. When I arrived at my room, I opened the door and found a pantless man laying in one of the beds. I apologized, walked downstairs and informed the front desk lady after she returned from the parking lot. crime scene. She apologized and asked if the pantless man was, "...at least good looking". I actually thought that was really funny- And this night was just getting stranger! She gave me another key and promised the room would be empty. On the elevator ride up, I got to hang out with two mildly drunk/drugged out early 20-somethings before arriving at my room. The bed was comfy but the heat didn't work. In an Alaskan hotel in October..the heat didn't work. Sigh...so I bundled up, enjoyed the comfy bed while the majority of my fellow hotel guests partied the night away. This is a weird place and if you're not up for that, stay far far away.

The only thing I didn't like was the train station is right next to the hotel.
Free Airport pick-up. Close to Downtown and Train Station. Nice little restaurant attached. Awsome smoked salmon omelet.

The first room was not vacuumed and to small for the five of us. Fortunately the family didn't complain. We were only there for 12 hours and that was enough. It was just a pace to flop and to allow us to see downtown Anchorage. I should have paid the $70 more for the Hilton downtown. The woman at the front desk moved us immedistely to a larger room with a rollaway bed. She was very pleasant and helpful. She made our stay there bare able . Kudos to her.
