The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The valet men were quick at getting our vehicle ready. Room service was also quicker than expected. One of the staff members got us excited about our view. She said it was her favourite room and you can see the Ferris wheel. Once we got in the room the view was nothing special and there was no Ferris wheel in sight at all.
The view is nice and close to everything downtown. Not a bad walk to the stadium - we were there for an event. Easy to catch a taxi. At busy check-in hours they did not have all the desk staff available and there were long lines for check-in. Took about 30 min to get through the line. There were many young drunk 20 year olds in the hotel that night. They stood outside our room talking at 1am until I asked them to please go in there room. They then spent the last couple hours being loud and running down the hall banging on everyone's doors until I finally called security at around 3:30am. This is not what I would expect from a high end hotel with the amount of money they charge. At check-in we wanted to self-park (not worth the $25 more per night for valet. The gate for self-park was closed with a sign to go to the main entrance location (this causes a 6 block detour with the one-way streets). When we returned the valets told us that self-parking was not being allowed due to an event (which we were there for). So they were only allowing valet (to rip us off another $25/night). We were then told we had to go another 6 blocks detour to the only self-parking option if we did not want to allow them to park our car. I would have been fine with the location we parked at if it had been clear. The process made it clear that they made it super difficult so that everyone would just do the valet parking. Once you get in line to check in you have no way out due to the valet only. The hotel also charges very high prices for wi-fi per day. I would expect for a hotel that hosts events and such would allow free internet access or at least a decent price. For a slower speed for download up/down than I get at home they wanted $29/day. I would not stay here again and would say that it is not equal to a 4 star hotel. It felt as if they were not staffed appropriately and felt ripped off at every turn.
Friendly staff, excellent location to walk to everything!
All of the staff except for one woman was very helpful and friendly. You can borrow their bikes which is a great way to explore the waterfront. Ask for a room that faces the alley. Otherwise you will be subject to loud buses, cars, people yelling, and a street piano. Bring earplugs and a sleeping mask (no blackout shades) if you are a light sleeper.
Loved going to large room off lobby to have a very relaxing experience seeing the water and mountains at the same time. Was with my sister and we were able to visit Pike Street Market and the downtown several times (even in light rain) because of the hotel van amenity. was hard to get ride to ferry using the hotel van as it was on the hour schedule.
I've stayed in better economy type inns. Cool location , but way dated and a need for up dating. The price didn't match the facilities
Beautiful interior and bar. The staff was always extremely helpful and courteous. The bathroom and window view were fantastic and the hotel is close and central to a lot of activities that Seattle has to offer! Very happy with my stay!
Location, location and location. Some of the staff were uppity and almost seemed like doing you a favour when you asked a question. However, there were a couple who were service oriented....
Nice hotel. Good restaurant. A little on the pricey side.
Our room was spacious and well-equipped. The design was modern and attractive. The food in the restaurant was high quality and interesting but perhaps more limited in range than you would ordinarily expect from a hotel catering for international travellers having a strong Greek/North African theme. I think the hotel should seriously consider making wi fi internet access complimentary - its ridiculous to charge ten dollars a day when you can cross the road to Starbucks and get it free when you buy at coffee. I also think they should stop importing mineral water from Scandinavia, which is contrary to their environmental aspirations.
Craft beer everyday from 5-6pm for free and as much as you can drink in an hour.
The front desk staff and the valets were very friendly. The room size was ridiculous and the bathroom was the size of a closet. They obviously know that the rooms are noisy because they give you a pair of ear plugs on the nightstands.
Loved the location, that they had free on-site parking (very limited), and what a great breakfast!
I was able to check in early. They room was clean and bathroom was stocked. The parking for this hotel is horrible!!! They have about 10 stalls up where the hotel is, then about 20 more below. We were NOT told its on a first come, first serve basis and ended up having to pay $20+ to park in the lot next door. I have never had to pay for parking as a guest of a hotel. Very disappointing.
