Miguel was fabulous and helped us in many ways, he went above and beyond. The entire staff was friendly and helpful The music on the roof did keep us up, and the ear plugs cost money
We loved the new and greatly designed rooms, as well as the young atmosphere of the hotel. The rooftop bar will take off - it is a great place. We will be back! The staff needs some more time together to make everything run smoothly. But they were always very nice and friendly - thanks for a great time with you!
The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.
We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Hotel Erwin is perfectly located on Venice beach, the staff is excellent, restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, nothing to complain about.

We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite! The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!

It was close and convenient to my son who lives in Venice. Stayed there in Dec. in the newer rooms on the top floor which was much nicer than the room I had this time. Also, I think the 6th. floor room was about the same price as the room where I was this time.(5th floor) Yes, I opened the sliding door during the night for some fresh air. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise(homeless sleeping in the alley) that my room overlooked.
The hotel is realy gret. Great staff, wonderful instalations..... So I really could live there. The price and the cost to park, once the garage is inside the building of the hotel.

Låg precis vid stranden, såg delfiner från hotellfönstret, rent och snyggt. trevlig ägare och personal. Valde detta hotell mycket på att det fanns parkering, något som inte var garanterad när vi kom. Internet var problem med varenda dag.
Jättetrevlig manager på hotellet som var väldigt hjälpsam. Jättefint läge precis vid stranden med närhet till butiker och restauranger. Har inte så mkt att klaga på, enda minus var att rummet var ganska litet och utan balkong och frukosten bestod endast av kaffe, te, juice och butiksförpackade winerbröd.
Det nära havsläget, trevligt bemötande, kaffe när du vill. Kylskåp på rummet, Micro på rummet. Fri parkering.
Litet mysigt hotell med utmärkt läge på standpromenaden. Tillgång till tvättmaskin, sköna madrasser och väldigt hjälpsam personal. Dåliga förbindelser till Santa Monica om man inte vill ta en längre promenad.

Room was comfortable and had nice amenities. Nickel and dimed to death. $7 to print out boarding passes in their business center. Forty dollars for breakfast. Thirty dollars for two drinks. Once I've paid for a nice hotel room, I like to think the hotel I've paid for is my home for the few nights I'm there. I felt like the Shore's mark. Can't even give me a cup of coffee? I won't be back. $8 bottle of water in the room. $35 towels mixed into the regular towels? I am not your huckleberry.
Everything was first class. Staff is the best, made my wife and I feel important. Could not do enough for us. Everyone checked to make sure our stay was first class. Need better pillows and lower parking rate for guests of the hotel.
June 15,2015 Could not get into our room until 4. Notified them we would arrive around 11 A.M. Hoped for noon or 1 P.M. room. Manager finally got involved. The rest of our stay was awesome. The staff is very friendly and excellent service. Stayed for four days. Wonderful location to beach and easy walking to shopping, farmer's markets etc. Wondered why with the remodel the bathrooms are small--one sink. T.C. on staff was the best!
Great location across the street from the Santa Monica Pier. LEED Gold building. Super high prices not at all justified by the experience. Stiff, unfriendly staff. Even after the very high room rates, there were no extras included. Virtually everything is a la carte extra cost -- from beach towels ($35/towel), parking (>$45/day), etc. The double queen room layout wasn't at all "family friendly". We loved Santa Monica, but didn't like the Shore Hotel at all.
Friendly and helpful staff, that took care of car and luggage in a fast and alert way. Nice retro, art deco interior design. Clean and fresh overall impression. Great window view towards the Pacific Sea (if you choose that room option). Near to shopping and other events in Santa Monica.

De borde forsoke at tilmotesga gesternes enklare onskemal: tilgang til internet, bedre utsikt samt det borde vaere enkelt for hotellet at ordne en brodskive marathonmorgen.

Smoke in the room from the vent. Pillows feels like straw filling. Bedding ok. It is not a Fairmont standard.
The location to the sea.Very attractive forecourt.Very attentive staff especially bell boys.The room was very spacious and had a good view to the sea. Far too expensive to park car at hotel.Should have been coffee-making facilities in the room.Very surprised as all the other hotels we have stayed at in the States have this and should be standard in a hotel of this standing.
Nice staff, pretty garden , I reccomend bungalows, good restaurants. Very good localization near ocean but also close to schopping places. I reccomend this hotel.
It was charming, room and bed comfortable with a deck overlooking pool. Im fussy and i found it a pleasant experience quiet, clean and relaxing. Staff excellent and a short walk to beach, handy to shops and restaurants.

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits. Beds were super comfortable. $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel. No complaints.
The remodel is first class. The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.

My daughter and l had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was very clean and beds where comfortable. The location is a short walk to the beach. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive! We were so happy with our accommodations that we extended our stay by two days. Highly recommend !
I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay. However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable. Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though. Would definetly stay again.
They did not have our reservation when we checked in; after calling twice to confirm. During those two calls, I was put on hold for thirty minutes the first time and eight minutes the second time..finally, they confirmed. Yet, upon arrival, they did not have our reservation and I had to check my confirmation email on my phone to prove it. No "sorry" gifts/amenities were given.
The hotel decor was pretty sterile. The Viceroy across the street was much more esthetically pleasing. The pool was ok, not great. The coffee bar was under staffed and looked temporary. Good for location. Staff cheerful, but not what I expected.
Everyone went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable.
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T
Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Marina Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .

the location room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending. I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much

Charming, great location, interesting architecture, right amount of funk, very helpful staff, good breakfast. door knobs were a problem, but it is a real problem for an old house where you are trying to keep it authentic. Half the rooms have a shared bath—not a problem, but good to know about.

House keeping staff are friendly and quick at preparing the room. Check in staff was friendly and it was a quick process. Clean room with a lot of space and giant mirror, balcony and fridge. The fitness center is a small room with mainly cardio machines. Please add some free weights. The elevators, vending machine and ice are located in just one area of the hotel; my room was literally 88 rooms away from them. The bathroom next door had a pipe issue that would make a huge noise every time the guest was using it and woke me up several times at night and in the morning. At check out, the front desk lady was in a hurry and unfriendly (I didn't catch her name but she was red headed with eyeglasses).
I loved the all around look and feel of the hotel. It was clean, the staff was hospitable, and the room was amazing. Parking in the parking garage was an additional $125 for the 5 nights I stayed and was not disclosed when booking the hotel.
Coffee machine in room but no ceramic coffee cups provided to use it. Told per IHG platinum member could not use club room with free breakfast because rewarded with bonus points.
We had a very nice stay and will return in the future. Our son and family were also there and we all found the hotel to be helpful and attentive to our needs. The location is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. 5 stars. We also did NOT like the parking fees, but with that the only negative it's not such a big deal.
Room service and housekeeping had the best customer service at of whole hotel! It looks like a hospital. No one greets you or shows that they want to be of service. I was looking forward to a bath after long conference and when turning on the water a huge clump of hair came out of drain and killed it for me.
I didn't get the room I reserved, I paid for ocean view room and I got a street view room
For the price, the hotel was excellent. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to the main attractions in Hermosa beach which was nice. The rooftop pool was great and the view of the sunset was awesome. I feel like the hotel nickel and dimed the guests for everything. The bathroom products were cheap and left my skin and hair extremely dry. There were bike rentals, but they were 20-30$ for the day. Parking was 30$/night. I generally felt like the staff was overwhelmed as well.

Kitchen Too loud. Young people manage the place and don't care. Elevators broken!!! Can't go outside the hotel, too many homeless people around the outside of hotel.Never again!

Venice is what it is too many bums but venice breeze suites are very clean and nice and rooftop is great
If you're looking for Venice Beach, the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the place as a whole is a little worse for wear, especially at $220/night. Reception feels more like a $40/night hostel than a hotel, bedding and couch both looked not entirely clean and there was mold and mildew all over the bathroom floor and walls.
It didn't have the elegance - seemed cheesy w decor. We were sad it wAsnt on the beach for $650 a night. Dining room was not inviting - just a sad time overall but the beds were soft and linens were good.

The location is good - very close to the beach and restaurants Horrible customer service - they overcharged me for a number of items, including mini bar purchases that we didn't make, and then 'investigated' while we waited 20 minutes for them to tell us they had no receipts. They never apologized after essentially suggesting we were lying. They rented out the entire pool and outdoor area for a Lincoln car event so guests had zero access to the outdoor pool area, which was a main selling point of this hotel. The carpet in the hallways had duct tape in many places because it was old and ripped. When I initially called to tell them we were checking in late, I had to call back three times because they first transferred me to the wrong person, then put me directly into voicemail. When I finally spoke to reception to confirm they would hold our king bed high floor room, they said they don't guarantee a high floor, which is exactly what we paid for and I told them that was listed on my reservation. After arguing over it, they confirmed I would be on a high floor. Overall, customer service was lacking and you didn't feel at any time that you were a priority - more of an inconvenience for them actually. Not worth the price they charge and definitely not a relaxing experience.
