location, location, location a few nit-picky things . . . iron was rusty, TV remote didn't work
Valet was $35 ...should have been included with hotel
Location No valet or bellman on arrival
The staff was amazing from management to room service. This is my new San Antonio hotel. The rooms were cool retro with modern ammenities. The pool was clean and nice. But really, the staff made the difference. None
closeness to the Alamo pay for internet access
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff are commendable; the room was spacious and attractive; the location was convenient yet quiet. The restaurant was affordable. Clock and lamps were unplugged and hangers missing when we checked in. Restaurant buffet was ample but lacking in quality--food was lukeward, oatmeal lumpy.
everyone was very accomodating and Grace upgraded our room to a king wich was wonderful
The location is just terrific and allows you to walk to all downtown attractions, and we enjoy staying in historic hotels rather than the low-end or high-end chains, both of which are available in downtown San Antonio. The ground level garden and pool areas are nice, as is the spacious lobby. The the price is extremely modest for a downtown hotel in a major city. The old hotel could use some up-dating; it's a little worn out. Our elevator wasn't in perfect working order (the door was very slow and erratic about closing) and the historic "Rough Riders" bar still has smoke from Teddy Roosevelt's cigars in the walls.
This is an excellent hotel so close to the Riverwalk. Very clean. Nice decor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Very close to the river walk The pictures of the rooms I felt did not accuratley depict what we were given
Parking was $24.00 a day. There was no actual hotel parking. It was either metered parking or valet parking in a parking lot with no cover.
Good location near the convention center and the Irish pub with the crazy and fun piano entertainer. I just can't understand that any hotel in the world today still charge you extra for internet access. is there any other single thing that annoys 100% of their guests as much as this? Just add the cost on the room price and looks like your generous. Now these hotels just look greedy.
Nothing! Very unprofessional!
Location and price. The bed was terrible.
I love the fact that they dont charge for pets and they even rovide you with a pet bed, bowls and treats all for FREE. I had to go to sleep early because of my training early next day and other guests were quite lound, maybebecause my room was close to the lobby and pool table also while they walk through the hallway they were laghing and being load . This is not the hotels foult I believe but the rudeness of people.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were as well.
Everything was great. The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to make your stay even better. I will definitely be coming back. The only thing that was annoying was how exspensive the things were in your room mini bar.
Bed was comfortable Bed corners are very dangerous, I end up with bruises because bed woods expand from mattress and you can hit your legs easily unless you are very careful. I had the opportunity to talk to other guests and they complain about the same dangerous corners. Bathroom have to many gabs on counter and your personal products can fall while cleaning is happening and you will never find them. If your leave something you have to go to a website to file lost and found. That is very far from what is the main reason of hotels, customer service...... Very poor in that part. Most rooms the city view is the windows of the next building.
The staff and the place are great !
Great location since we could walk a block and a half to the majestic theater. Beautiful room, nice view, but the restaurant was closed for dinner and the breakfast was $63 dollars. Great location since we could walk a block and a half to the majestic theater. Beautiful room, nice view, but the restaurant was closed for dinner and the breakfast was $63 dollars.
We waited 30 minutes for our car after check out. CALL AHEAD...way ahead!
We had nothing but trouble with Kayak and Getaroom. The Getaroom staff, in fact, was terrible. I will never use Kayak or Getaroom ever again. The Valencia was great, though. Wonderful staff.
We really appreciated the location of the hotel, it was really convenient in that sense, it was within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The staff was also really friendly. Almost everything was perfect, but it would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room to store our own food and drinks. Also one of our beds was squeaky and that made it uncomfortable to sleep on so better beds would have been nice.
Location was great Kind of dark interior needs brightening.
We have traveled often and frequently. We arrived and found that the best service, ambience, and dining was apparent. Our room was perfect, room for our luggage, etc. Can't wait to return.
Great hotel overall. I rated it down because the valet situation gave me hell a few times. Give yourself plenty of time for valet to get your car, especially when it's raining.
Staff was unprofessional. Check in was at 3, we got there at 7 and the room still wasnt ready. While we waited for 45 minutes we had to get dressed in the public restroom and my girlfriend had to straighten her hair in the hallway because there was no outlets in the restroom. After we finally got our room we had to rush to the spurs gsme that we had planned and ended up missing the first quarter all because of the staff at the hotel. We decided to switch hotels the next day. Other than that the hotel was really nice looking.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, the attentiveness of the staff always willing to help. Hilda the housekeeper kept the room cleanliness very well and orderly. I am happy with my experience. It was a great location right on the river walk.
The Menger is very historic and literally right across the street from the Alamo. There are lots of things to do that are within easy walking distance that give you the San Antonio experience. The historic nature alone is worth the stay. We didn't get a room in the old, original, historic section. Our room was outdated and in need of renovation.
San Antonio's 1859 hotel was all it promised. Perfect central location next to the Alamo, and the Menger Hotel itself is rich in history, generously displayed throughout the building. The room itself was just fine, but I am interested mostly in the ambience outside the room (so long as the beds, showers and such are good). We will return. One note of special interest: the maid was a great source of info; cheerful and helpful! The view from the window? - a wall! Next time we will ask for a courtyard or other external, interesting view. Otherwise, all was well.
Central Location: Beautiful 150 year old historic hotel, literally across the street from Alamo, Numerous attractions, Riverwalk Mall, Ripley's, Wax Museum, Guinness Records, etc.... Short trolley ride to Historic Market. We used it as base of operations. Bought all-day passes to attractions and walked back to hotel to cool off/swim when needed. Lots of food nearby too. Hotel staff gave great service too. Kids loved all the museum like stuff in the hotel. The bar has a mirror with a bullet hole next to it they say Teddy Roosevelt shot in it on a bet when he was there recruiting his rough riders. Been here several times. It is our 'go to' spot for San Antonio. The parking is very expensive. Thirty dollars per day - but it is expensive in the entire city and you do have unlimited in and out privileges. The hotel is really old so it has a few rough edges. The pool tiling needs a bit of repair, some of the doors stick a bit, the elevators are small, floors are a little uneven and a bit sloped here and there, etc. It has a lot of "character", but I guess refurbishing an old hotel is like restoring an old car, you never quite manage to get all of the rattles out of it.
Location is excellent Beds are quite narrow. Air conditioning went out one night. Thankfully, it was repaired the next day.
If you want a little history stay, this place is it. This place is great old school hotel with the oldest bar in town. Has a nice pool and inner garden to chill. Nice helpful staff Rooms were clean and large. The shower could have stronger flow and pool service coming around a bit (there is a phone to place order) but that is not a big deal. Location is perfect - Riverwalk starts right here and Alamo is a cross the street Can't open windows in the room (the old bulding) Shower has weak water flow
that it was close to everything They didn't tell me about 20$ parking day, they didn't tell me 100$ deposit would be needed.
Ordered breakfast off the restaurant menu. It was high priced and the portion size was small. 1 breakfast taco with sides was $16!
I stay here often and I have tried other places it's so luxurious for the money and the location is in the middle of everything!
Historical, legendary hotel - also comfortably contemporary ... Plus, the staff at the front desk was polished and helpful. They made us feel they were serious about our enjoyment of the hotel. Would have liked to have stayed another day to enjoy more of the amenities, such as the Menger Bar and its TR Rough Riders connection. Note: You really need a "none of the above" category for the second question on who was in your party -- none of those definitions fit. This was frustrating and I almost didn't write this review, but decided to submit it by checking "group of friends" even though it's wholly inadequate to describe my party, which was me, my sister, and mother, and my sister's boyfriend.
Beautiful hotel with charm and character. So close to everything and convenient for someone on foot/ for public transport/ for tours. Great pool. People working there were very nice - allowed late check out at 1:00pm. A bit noisy at night - one night it was loud drunk tourists, once it was random construction at restaurant in mall next door, & once the fire alarms went off. I don't think it's the hotel's fault though.
We liked the location so much!! Just besides the Alamo, and the hotel is nicely preserved!! You can see the age of the hotel in the rooms! The bathroom was extremely small but usefull. The valet it's on the expensive side!!
The historic portion of the hotel is beautiful! Rooms are small, full size bed... but very nice and very clean. I would like to suggest that better quality sheets be used on the bed... sheets were way to big, so they tangled up at your feet. The beds are not the most comfortable to begin with and the sheets only made it worse.
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. The shuttle service makes it easy to major destinations. Location is not the best, but the free shuttle service compensates for location.
Overall, very nice, especially liked the overall feeling of the place when you wank in. The mid-to-upscale design is very welcoming; open architecture, mexican paver tiles, nice restaurant/bar area has full-length windows on both sides (one side open to the nice pool/courtyard area in the center of the building), so overall a very open and pleasant feeling. Rooms were good - what you'd expect from a 3-4 star hotel - clean, decent sized (didn't feel cramped like some other places) with fairly spacious bathroom w/ lots of counter space. I enjoyed my stay, and WILL stay there again if ever in the San Antonio area.
The shuttle drivers The hotel smells bad The food is horrible
They allowed us to check in 3 hrs early, and they didn't charge us the early check in fee. The Air conditioner was super loud and it made it very hard for me to sleep. Also the beds were double beds not queen, I'm used to sleeping in a king and going to a double made it very hard. I'm not sure why hotels are making there rooms with 2 beds double beds.
Every employee that I met was very helpful and friendly. They always said hello and asked if I needed anything. The shuttle service to the area attractions was a nice bonus. (One of the shuttles could stand to have the interior repaired). Our room smelled bad. I realized the odor was coming from the bathroom. Everything was clean and well stocked but there was a bad odor. It was wet musty old smell. So maybe just the age of the building-not really sure but I did dread going to the bathroom.
The only thing we truly liked was the "contagious, frank and sweet smile of the staff lady who clean room 622 for us. Her attitude, her generosity, but most of all, her professionalism outstanding " We truly believe that the Hilton Corporation should send the managers and front desk personnel to the same training program where the maintenance personnel goes and hopefully they will learn at least a bit of common curtesy. The lack of curtesy, honesty and professionalism from the front desk. Management is nonexistent at the hotel there. Incapable of solving problems; what we got was a lot of excuses. We stayed at room 418 on 05-28-2016. People in room 419 had the tv at full volume; after several requests and trips to the front desk, we finally convinced the front desk to move us to a different room; we were moved to room 622 ; the air conditioning system in this room is extremely noisy. Needles to say we were not able to sleep at all that night. We checked out the next day and refund for one night is being processed. We strongly believe that we should get a refund for the night of the 28. We had stayed at the Double Trees in Houston and Dallas, but sadly the one in San Antonio is horrible; even the cookies are not the same quality as the ones in the other hotels. Jose Minas
It was out of the way across the freeway from downtown. It was lose to the courthouse and fire station, so we knew every time they left for an emergency. The facility was nice, just location wasn't good.
Very comfortable beds! We had to pay $15 for parking, which was fine. But when we returned to our hotel for the night there was no parking available. The garage was full of cars that had no parking tags. We complained and they ended up refunding our $15 fee.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the restaurant good.
The air conditioning was very loud.
Comfort! The beds and pillows were heaven I was given the wrong room number which another family was in at the time

LOcation and the breakfast was great.
Price Unclean room with older construction. Mold growing in the bathroom. Broken shower rod.

Everything was classy. Not that I can think of.
Very convenient location to downtown San Antonio without the high cost of downtown hotels. Older structure could use updating however for the price very suitable. Noise transmission from upstairs rooms a problem.
Changed two bedroom for Kong with Jaccuzi, which I did not know they had until I arrived.
Great breakfast, perfect accommodation. Only thing I've been having trouble is that they are not willing to return an object I left Behind. I'm willing to pay for the service.

The staff was the best and very accommodating. Especially at the front desk. made my stay enjoyable by her good attitude despite many challenges from unruly guests and random maintenance issues. Hotel Employee handled them all with grace. nothing.
The room itself was nice. I accidentally left a few things in the room. They returned some of the items but a few things of value were not found. This is very upsetting.
GPS will take you to a wrong by location, mine did. When I got there everything was good
The location right on the riverwalk is excellent! Hotel is very nice and staff is very friendly! Would definitely stay again in the future. My only compaint about the hotel is the cost of parking. Valet parking is $40 and self parking is $30 per night. Very expensive. If you stay a few nights parking ends up costing you as much as an additional night's stay.
Fabulous location, very friendly staff who were very accommodating. Excellent bronch every morning. Wait staff in the restuara to were friendly and helpful. Room was a reasonable size but bathroom was a little bit worn. On the one day we forgot to leave a tip, the cleaning staff did a less than adequate job cleaning the room.
Staff extremely friendly service great location great
Great location. Beautiful hotel
Centrally located in Downtown, you are minutes from most sites and right on the scenic river walk. Nice and helpful staff will greet and assist you. sound proofing. With construction across the street waking you up at 6:40 am, easily hearing the conversations of others in the hall ways and flushing of toilets, sleep was easily disrupted. shower tub and carpet had stains/not fully cleaned. bathroom fixture groves had visible dust collected. really small pool, not sure if its that i'm from Miami, Fl where there is many pools. its about the size of the elevator hallway and maybe 4 ft deep.
Rooms clean. Easy access to riverwalk. All employees helpful and friendly Nothing
Location was wonderful, room was clean Hotel was dated. Too expensive for what we got. Upon return to our room we discovered our AC was not working. Front desk sent up a tech but he couldn't fix it. So they gave us a fan.... No one from mgmt contacted me and no apologies. Just nothing. I paid less for my room at the beautiful La Cantera the night before.
Convenient to Alamo & other attractions! Easy entry!
The view of the room was amazing! Enjoy time on the top level pool with an amazing view of the city. Construction on the second floor during the day.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Train noise in the early morning hours outside the hotel and noisy visitors next door and down the hall.
From the complimentary brunch at Ruth Chris, to the friendliness of the staff, i am impressed everytime i come here.
Everything, but the outdoor smoking areas were in direct sun or behind pool area that had no air.
Access to river walk
There was nothing to like. It's over priced. The location and the price of the hotel. The pool also was not great.
I was in San Antonio for a conference, but my husband and 4 yr old tagged along for some fun family time as well. I appreciated the computers and printer for guest use and the early cafe breakfast options as well as, how accommodating they were for families. I was a little disappointed when we first arrived because our room didn't look anything like the photos and I was admittedly excited about the charm of the pictures advertised. We got over it though once we saw how roomy it was and all the nice amenities like the keurig, etc. Despite how roomy and comfortable the bed was, we inquired about a cot for our daughter to sleep on since the room was def. large enough to accommodate one. They immediately rolled down a large plush bed for her already made up, she thought it was the greatest thing ever! We also found ourselves needing bandaids or batteries for our personal things and they provided everything we asked for on the spot at the front counter. That was huge!! We were blown away by their hospitality. I was also surprised that most of the days my husband told me to go ahead and take the car because they wouldnt even need it. They could go swimming, eat lunch at the bistro, and hop on the river taxi right out back if they wanted to go somewhere. Needless to say this will be our go-to spot anytime we're in SA.
Great location in a less touristy part of town. Near university and other popular destinations. Room was large and comfortable. Quiet at night. Came in and evening person was looking at his computer, not wanting to interrupt, I waited patiently until I noticed him looking at me as if I were out of place, followed by, "Yes?" Thinking his humor might be a tad dry I let it go until I had another less than pleasant interaction with him later abut parking, then I realized he needed to consider a career outside of the hospitality industry. I wonder if his mom got him this job. Anyway, between that and an unwashed glass in my room I think some corners are being cut.
Bed and linen was very comfortable No microwave in my room
Hotel was very nice and clean. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. Stayed here for 2 days and we were very happy. You can buy breakfast vouchers for 8-10 dollars and eat in the restaurant which had good food. The staff was also very friendly. Really nice deck area in the back with a smaller pool. The hotel is far away from where the heart of the river walk is. It was super hot when we were there so walking far wasn't very fun.
Nice friendly staff Very helpful and knowledgeable... parking and no bellhop
I loved the seclusion and privacy. Hotel was on the river walk but on the quiet tranquil side and yet only 10 minutes away from river enter mall. Richard and Darlene at the restaurant and bar were so kind to us. My wife really enjoyed her birthday weekend. Would definitely stay here again. When checking in we were given a non smoking policy to sign and told we could not smoke on the premises. I asked her if we could smoke outside the hotel or on our balcony, and she again repeated "not on the premises" well as we went onto the balcony there was an ash tray on the outside table and also noticed guests down below smoking. As we headed outside by the pool I again noticed ash trays throughout the exterior of the hotel. I asked another employee by the name of Richard if we could smoke outside the hotel and he said absolutely and brought us an ashtray.
Hotel staff was very knowledgable about restaurants and the Riverwalk. Rooms were large and definitely worth the money. Whether a couple or family on vacation, this is where you need to stay. Location is excellent and service is nothing short of 5 star I only had one night to stay here
We were impressed with the staff and facilities.
We liked the location best. It was located directly on the Riverwalk so we could pick up the River Taxi without having to walk far. The room we had was large enough for four adult women to walk about without running into each other.
staff was friendly and always helpful. rooms were excellent, clean, bright. plenty of parking. beds were soft, pillows were awesome. elevators were fast. check in and check out was easy. the best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff. just very minor details: the tv remote buttons were either worn or the battery was dead, difficult to change channels. and the printed channel guide was so small you need reading glasses to read it. in my room there was no bathtub, only a standing shower, but it was sufficient. no microwave, which was kind of a downer.
Everything was good, and it was a surprise. I went in thinking it was a real dive, based on the reviews I read after booking my room. I was there for 3 nights and I cant complain about a single thing, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff were really friendly, and it looks to be quite a new motel, or has been recently renovated. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Cant say anything bad, it is a 2 star hotel that is more like a 3 star. The rates were not cheap, but seeing as there was a convention in town, it was a whole lot cheaper than nearby hotels. If I had to take a guess, some bad reviewers either got some real bad staff attitude or they expected 4 star service.
Great location for the money. Very dirty floors. Sheets had to be changed they were filthy. Not a good experience. Front staff w were nice but housekeeping was a joke...
Perfect for a night in downtown SA.
The coffee was good & it Was convenient to Riverwalk and Alamo. Walking Distance The door was hard to open and close because of the deadbolt. Kept getting stuck. Paper thin walls, you have to pay for parking and the safe in your room also Some of the staff was rude.
Walking distance to downtown (riverwalk/Alamo) but its a sketchy area if you are alone. Many homeless and cat callers around. Rooms were modern and looked just like the pictures. Staff was friendly and helpful Sheets were dirty, asked for new ones and we're still dirty. Add on extra charges after initial booking fee, must pay for parking, ADA accessible restroom was constantly wet. Showers must run for ten minutes before water heats up, refrigerator didn't work, roach came out of restroom drain.
Overall nice clean hotel for the price That we had to pay $15 daily for parking
Nothing to like here. The internet service in my 5th floor room was poor. Then the crickets moved in. I killed three of them and counted 5 more down the hall from me. While I was at the font desk talking about the lack of Wifi, two very angry women guests came down to check out because of all the bugs. The interior is worn and does not present as clean. There was a puddle of water in the middle of the floor. They offered me a room on the second floor where the Wifi was better but even to my male nose, this room smelled stale. I decided I'd seen enough and many thanks to Kayak for getting me out of this mess and into the Best Western Sunrise Suites (1 block away). Same price range and a high quality hotel. BEWARE THE RED ROACH INN!
Staff was rude. Door was missing the bottom liner so you could hear everyone that walked by.
Walking distance to alamadome for events. sorry breakfast. slow maintenance. we had a slow drain in the tub and reported it everyday and it still was not fixed when we left.
Everything is good If you are going to advertise free breakfast then do it
Location The bed linen was cover in stains, the walls had stains and what looked like mildew. The shower was disgusting plus the water came out with such force it hurt. The floors were filthy so don't walk around barefoot. Hotel said they underwent an upgrade, but definitely doesn't look like it. Free breakfast is a joke. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Was convenient to Riverwalk and Alamo. Walking Distance. The door was hard to open and close because of the deadbolt. Kept getting stuck. The sink faucet was about to fall off and the hot water barely came out. The sink was free standing and not any room to put anything around it. The shower head was so strong you could hardly stand under it. We were only able to get very few channels on the tv. On the vending machines you could only use a credit or debit card. I thought was inconvenient. We did report this all to the front desk as we left and they said these issues would be fixed. I hope so because it could be a very nice, convenient place to stay.
Yes The view
Excellent hotel with a nice view of the Riverwalk. The room and restaurant were first class and the staff was very helpful. Well worth the money The only problem we saw was around the pool where there was debris and refuse but there were also a lot of inebriated people there when we got there which might account for stuff on the ground and in the pool.
Great Stay! Room was clean, spacious, and beds were comfortable.
Beautiful room friendly staff
Room, location, close to activities All good
How close it was to the river walk. The smell on our floor and room size.
The hotel was great and the staff was nice as well by accommodating you with the services and room. We had a great view and we could just walk downstairs to the river walk. The river walk was close but the places we wanted to go to were further than expected. Overall the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter was great especially since it has a mall right down stairs. I did not like that you had to pay for parking. Your paying a price you would think that that would be included. Also there was no mini fridge in the room for food.
Hotel had lots of activities planned for families and kids, including egg hunt and wake up call by the Easter bunny. Super friendly staff and very clean. Excellent access to the mall and food court area for those that like different tastes on a budget, but also quick access to very nice restaurants as well. Some of the activities were at the other Marriott across the street
Housekeeping was fast. Location on the river walk was very convenient. The room and bathroom were very small. There was also a very strong scent of perfume that was overwhelming when you walked into the hotel. We noticed it every time we came into the hotel during our stay. It was almost nauseating. Parking was expensive. It was the week of Thanksgiving and the front desk seemed to be severely understaffed.
Near Convention Center. Bathroom was not clean.
Location, easy to find, by riverwalk. Oh, the people working there, OUTSTANDING IN EVERY ASPECT! Nothing, would stay there if the prices were better!
It was well maintained. We picked it for the location to the airport and they had a shuttle to take you there.
Everything was in order and staff very warm! No.
The room smelled moist. The room looked outdated and the bed was hard. There was nothing special to that place. The staff was ok. I will not gk back.
The hotel room was filthy. Toilet was clogged and the sheets were stained.
This hotel is clearly older than ones that I have stayed in the past. I had a suite which was perfect for my needs The staff were extremely friendly and prompt when it came to requests. The restaurant was okay but overpriced for the quality of food. Also, the location was not really inconvenient if you did not have a car as you were surrounded by mostly corporate office buildings. However, for a 1-2 night stay, it was fine.
Ease of check in and check out. Felt the bathroom was small. Also, where the desk was located and placed made it very tight to sit and work.
When I travel I always try to stay in a Crowne Plaza Hotel (Dallas, Addison, San Antonio, etc.). The hotels are always clean, comfortable, very attractive, helpful, and the staff is always courteous and professional. I especially appreciate the Business Center so I can stay in touch with my office and keep up with my class homework.
The hotel has a great location on the riverwalk in a quieter area next to the mall. The room we had (handicap) was very large, and the bed was comfortable. The lobby was nice, there was a starbucks in the lobby, and the food at the bar and restaurant were good. This was one of the biggest hotel disappointment I've had in the past. year. I traveled over 200 days in the past year and stayed at quite a few different hotels, so I don't say this lightly. When we first walked into the room (905 handicapped) the bathroom stood out as an eyesore. It was at least 5-10 years past when it should have been renovated. The grout was multiple different colors that made it look like it could be moldy, the wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and there was a general lack of craftmanship in the way it was constructed. The final straw was when I went to take a shower, and the shower head connection was leaking and spraying water in all directions. It wasn't just a loose connection, because I was unable to stop the leak. This is something a guest should never have to deal with at a chain like the Marriott. I asked the front desk to be transferred, but because it was a busy time the only available room was the room below us (805). This bathroom was in slightly better condition, although there were a few cracked and chipped tiles. Although the shower head worked, it was a very low end and cheap looking model. The bigger problem was when my wife tried to take a shower the first night, she was unable to maintain a constant water temperature. It would alternate between cold and very hot. She showed me how red her feet were, and I can only imagine what sort of a problem this could pose to an elderly or handicapped person. The other problem was the terrible tv reception while we were trying to watch the sugar bowl in our room. It would constantly blur or pause, making it nearly impossible to watch the game. Fortunately or unfortunately, the reception on the large tv's at the bar was fine. In summary, this is not the type of property I would expect for a Marriott. For the time around the new year the value wasn't bad (just under 200) however I would have preferred to spend 50% more on a room that looked like it had been renovated in the past 10-20 years. In the past year the only time I have experienced bathrooms in this sort of condition were in $50 rooms in towns with less than 5000 people. Buyer beware.
