There were elderly people having to do the same. Later, after landing, there was no parking for the airplane, so after 10 hours flight we we're held for 25 minutes inside the airplane. New regulations will make me reconsider using Turkish airline for US bound flights, although it's a great company, unless they find a more comfortable and organized way to do the security check."

I was lucky that the flight was being delayed too.. so I got to board my flight 3:40pm. However, due to high traffic at Atatürk airport my New York flight departed at 5pm. Overall there was just a 2 hour delay, however the experience of transferring was quite stressful, not to mention that my bags didn't make it to New York. I just wished that the connecting flight information was not offline in the Ankara Istanbul train so that I didn't panic as much. Overall I made it safe and sound to my destination by the magic of plane transportation.. so thank you to all the engineers, staff, pilot, cabin crew and oil companies that did so much to bring me home. Although we had all been up from 5am to get to early morning flight and Tashkent air port has no services, stewardess ran out of coffee and repeatedly refused to get me, the person skipped, coffee, despite repeated requests for a first cup. Each time they refilled coffee, they started run from beginning of plane, and ran out by the time they got to the middle. Usually if someone gets skipped, they just go back and get a single cup, but this lady was determined not to. Never had this happen in 55 years of flying. Serious caffine deficiency."

If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."

Minus: "My bag was delayed in Abu Dhabi. On its return, my laptop- that I had been forced to check- had been stolen... Not necessarily Etihad's fault, but so far their customer support has been almost non-existent."

Minus: "bags did not make it to final destination and were stuck in abu dhabi. we landed on sunday and did not get our bags until tuesday. we had a very long layover so unclear as to why our bags did not make it on to the flight. it was a big inconvenience"
Minus: "Bad service. Crew not friendly. Frustrated at check-in counters - longest time ever, stupid check for cabin bag. I chose etihad for first time, I came with the same bag with different airlines never got a problem. Everyone was angry as only half inch their bags were buffered than the frame. Worst experience"

Plus: "There was a technical problem on the airplane before we take off. The plane was in delay around 90 min. Captain of the plane was very reasonable in problem explanation, and we can feel that safety was on first place. All praise for captain and for the crew for very professional behavior."

Minus: "Was charged USD 350 for one overweight bag. Asked Etihad beforehand if I could use a 72 transit visa to enter china on my current itenary. They said it was fine. I was stopped at the gatein Seoul by Asians who refused to board me on the plane because my itenary was incorrect. Will never fly either of these airlines again, and am currently seeking repayment for my unintended 4 day stay in Seoul"

Minus: "There was an issue with my ticket/ boarding pass from JFK to Raleigh. It was said that the exchange ticket did not reflect in the system for Jetblue and that I will have to call their call center and figure out the issue. I was lucky that I found a staff from jetblue crew who could figure out the issue and help me out. If it was not for her, I could have faced difficulties."

Minus: "Boarding process, slow and long - I have seen other airlines do it much faster. Crew were friendly, but lots of confusion among crew members. Entertainment was horrible - need new and latest movies. The latest movies available were months old. This makes the flight time feel a lot longer than it is."
