I'm flew Swiss for the first time and like it

We had a 14 hour flight and the attendants worked very hard to keep us satisfied. I would definitely fly Swiss again

I was telling a friend today, Swiss Air started with drinks, gave us a Parisian baguette sandwich, gave us a healthy breakfast of yoghurt warm croissant butter jam orange juice, drinks again, and several passengers surrounding me got special attention, one woman with a baby, a disabled person, and a teenager that was 6'5" was relaocated by the flight attendant without him even asking to a bulkhead seat for more comfort. You don't see this kind a attention to detail on any US flights or US airlines, so I noticed it. It was as if I was traveling back in the 70's or 80's when Airlines would compete for our dollars with their service. I mentioned to my friend that if I had a choice and Swiss Air was one of the choices, I'd choose Swiss Air over any other airline."

Really great experience (until I hit customs in JFK, but SwissAir has no influence on that :) )"
Plus: "We had two flights with Swiss and the first one left half an hour late, meaning we only had about 10 minutes to connect to the next one. Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

Minus: "I am not unusually large but it is clear that the seats on your planes are completely inadequate for anyone other than a child. There is no possible way for anyone who isn't seriously sedated to sleep or even sit for any extended period of time in what amount to slightly cushioned coffins. I literally spent an hour in the toilet trying to fall asleep because at least in there I had room to extend my legs. At least in there I could actually breathe (the ventilation system is totally inadequate for anyone sitting near the windows and results in horribly stuffy and uncomfortable air.)"

Minus: "The Swissair website did not have my information available. Stood next to Passport Control for an hour (!) for a glitch they couldn't resolve before boarding. Flight was delayed 90 minutes. Worse quality beef on a flight ever, and that's hard to do. In my 1.5 million miles flown, these were the least comfortable, cramped seats I have ever experienced. I am only 5'7", 150lbs, but for the first time ever could not reach my belongings in the under-the-seat space in front of me. Seriously, it was that cramped."

Sen fick vi vänta ytterligare 1 timme ombord i värmen helt ohyggligt när folk börjar oroa sig för konsekvenserna etc det var ju uppenbart ingen skulle komma ut amma kväll (efter midnatt). När väl ute fanns bara 1 service desk till hela planet, jag kunde åka hem och sova och skita i vouchers men de som behövde hotell lär ha väntat halva natten. Det enda som var ok var att de svarade snabbt på telefon följande morgon - men meddelade inte som man sagt den nya bokningen via sms eller mail!"

ombordstigningen är ju väldigt komplicerad och inte speciellt effektivt. Har de gott om tid är det ok men inte annars

There was a 2hr delay to an 8:40 departure. SUPER irritating. Had chosen an earlier flight so that these kinds of things wouldn't happen. Breakfast was poor a croissant and a yogurt. Not enough for an adult, I've had better on other international flights.

One guy in particular, a tall greying man evoked the worst stereotypes of brutal secret policemen. Perhaps he formerly worked for Stasi or he was having testosterone problems. The only reason I didn’t miss the deadline was because the flight was late taking off."

I wanted to check in online but I had to no reservation or ticket number is provided so I had to go to my old reservations to find it. .Next I wanted to pay for my luggage online but there was no link given. It says you can do it cheaper on Lufthansa.com but I could not find where you can actually do that. All in all spend 30 minutes with no result. Had to pay at check in $44 instead of $27. And it was just one of many other problems and inconveniences with their website."

Minus: "Took first available train , arr. Freising at 9:50. Arrived at Terminal 2 by bus ca. 10:25. I am handicapped and a slow walker, so I got to departure floor ca. `10:40. Waited in line at self-serve check-in; found out that it does not have ability to process numbers (for US address). Attendant was not helpful and nasty. She told me me to go to the regular check-in line, where I waited another 45 minutes. None of the 3 "help" personnel standing around when approached managed to tell me that there was a special counter for handicapped persons. The one at the express self-check-in refused to give me her lasst name or any form of ID (first name Sophia). After waiting an additional 15 minutes for a wheelchair, I was deposited in a waiting area, where a second wheelchair arrived after another long wait. Told me I might not make the plan (I did). Overall a very unpleasant and nasty experience. With the exception of the very nice lady (Mrs. Ilser?? ) who checked in my luggage, none of the other 3 persons at the express and regular check-in spoke decent German or English, and none was helpful (Go there, wait!!!) Barely made the plane in MUC, Heathrow turned out much better than the touted German efficiency. Please forward to Lufthansa customer relations. Dr. W. Hartwig"

Det fanns Ingen veg mat eller våtservetter.. men fick sitta exit row och dricka vin så helt ok ändå men var rätt hungrig.

Wrote in the previous message. Poor. Delayed flight and lost working day. 4.5h together to rebook the flight, get the hotel voucher, get to the hotel and check in. Insanely slow.

Minus: "Flight delayed by one hour which meant I missed by train at Southampton by 10 minutes and subsequent bus connect home. Next bus would have been 2 hours later so 45 minute walk home from train station. Didn't bother with food offering, put off by that supplied from Hannover to Schiphol."
Minus: "Our flight was canceled from Amsterdam to Bordeaux and did not receive any direction and had to find alternate flights for ourselves with the personal expense of using our own cell phones. Then our luggage lost for 3 days. Not happy! We ended up flying from Toronto to Paris then to Bordeaux. Lost my upgrade money for seats. Now have to deal with KLM for refund!"
Plus: "Short layover connecting from US flight and luggage transferred ok to destination. Food option not great but at least they didn't charge for it unlike some other airlines. No entertainment but to be expected on such a short flight."

The plane did not leave for another our and instead of arguing with the costumers they could have just helped us get on the plane. It was unfair of them to close the check in desks early and on top of that to catch a plane the next day they wanted to charge and exorbitant fee. I Wii never fly SAS again."

One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Jag upplever att de gånger jag flugit Göteborg-Helsingfors, Helsingfors-Göteborg är det ofta förseningar. Har flugit ca 10 gånger feb-maj

Ända bättring skulle vara att kunna ge rätt gate på bordningen vid byte i Helsingfors ( var fel/ ändrat) både gånger 😉😊 (kanske inget med er att göra…) Annars jätte nöjd med alla fyra flyg med Finnair, trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Vi gick och ankom innan tidtabell. Fick ett glas blåbärssoppa ombord. Trevlig bestättning.

En av de bästa långresorna jag gjort fantastisk personal åker oftast 2-3 långresor per år och finnair delar första platsen med Emirates. Bra med slopad starksprit inget stök.

Also when I attempted to check in 24hours prior in order to make sure I got a seat id be happy with it said that it wasn't available for my flight so I couldn't check in and I couldn't chose a seat but regardless I still should've gotten the seat I wanted bc of my preferences at booking. Don't pay the extra to ensure your seat it's a total rip off"

Actually, my Finnair flight was great - it was operated by BA, so it was a nice new double-decker Airbus plane. It was maybe 3/4ths full, so I nearly had a row to myself - shoutout to the jerk who decided he was entitled to the aisle seat. The flight was smooth and easy and best of all, it cost a fraction of what the BA price for a one-way from SFO to LHR cost."

Minus: "Unable to pre select seats because the arrangement makes you neither a full BA or Finnair customer. Food was just about edible and that was the better non vegetable option. The plane was old and the in in seat screens were old too, with poor resolution (no touch screen to illustrate the aging technology). Although the entertainment selection was relatively current the aging connection in the arm rest, coupled with cheap ear buds made for a poor listening experience."
Minus: "When I arrived to board my flight I was highly unsatisfied with the excessive charges I received for my luggage that was overweight (only by 7 pounds). I was not only charged an additional $100 for my second checked bag, but I was also charged $200 for the extra weight. As a college student traveling abroad for 6 months, I did not expect to be bombarded with these fees at the beginning of my journey. Due to this experience, I would like to have been notified ahead of time of the expected charges as it made me uneasy before a long flight."

Minus: "The vegetables in the meal / salad were still frozen….inedible. In the morning in the asian vegetarian meal it was simply fruit…that was it. No protein source. I have been on many BA flights and the food has not been this poor, so not sure if the carrier who services food source has changed."
Minus: "There was a very poor selection of movies to watch:( Last tim ei flew AA, and there was an absolutely huge choice . . . Would love to see that improved . . I think you have to cater for all tastes . . . and that definitely was not the case on my flight"

Minus: "The flight attendants were noisy, walking back and forth, so it was hard to rest, more like stomping. Was not pleased with flight attendant who served me, was kinda cocky and not friendly, which spoiled the customer service experience. Not enough leg room, cramped. Wish they had decaf tea. Other than that we arrived safely, so I'm very appreciative."

Minus: "Both the British Airways attendant who check me in in Chicago, and the British Airways attendant who checked me in in London, were not paying attention to my final destination and did not mark my luggage for my final destination."

Minus: "The temperature in the cabin wasn't great, being so hot it will only breed those germs. Food could be better, especially breakfast. I think they should bring the drinks around more often too."

Minus: "Trying to get through airport security was an unorganized clown show with them herding groups of passengers back and forth between airport terminals resulting in many people almost missing their flights because the lines just weren't moving. Once on the airplane, the international flight had TVs in the ceiling in the row playing one in-flight movie (what is this 1995?). American is such a terrible airline. The old US airways, Lufthansa, and British Airways, are way better international flights every time I've flown with them. Personal entertainment at your seat for each flight (i thought this was standard on all international flights in the past like 10 years) and more food and drinks throughout the flight."

Minus: "If it is extra line to add for select the type of food, then it is useful the passenger. Because may some people are vegetarian then they know what they can have."
Plus: "Maybe they should call these flights "Byzantine Airways". Finnair doesn't fly Boston to London, so my Finnair flight was on British Airways, but I did it that way because BA wanted more money that day. As a flight, it was OK. I don't think I have much to say about Finnair."

For me this was really important since I was moving countries so I needed to check in multiple bags. But since this was in partnership with British Airways, I was charged $90 instead of $30. This was not mentioned or made clear before I made my purchase, if i buy a finnair flight then I should be charged finnair prices on baggage. If not, this should have been made clear before hand so I could have weighed my flight options. I hope you are able to provide a resolution."

Minus: "I regularly fly between Chicago and London and dread having to get on AA90. The planes are ridiculously old with barely any legroom and no seat-back entertainment. On this occasion, my friend sitting next to me, who is 5'10" had his knees right up against the seat in front. When the passengers in front reclined it was almost impossible to get comfortable. There is no seat-back entertainment. For some this may not be a big deal, what with iPads and other devices, but it speaks to AA's failure to consider it's customers comfort and ease on long-haul flights."
Minus: "When I got to Phl I missed my connection to London. No one seemed to care that I needed to be in England by the 18th. They kept retorting me to arrive in England on the 19th. I told them multiple times Id be flexible and go to any city in the UK just for them to get me there on the 18th. The First person I talked to said it was impossible. So I called again and talked to another person and all of a sudden it was possible. The worst part was they sent me to Boston after that I didn't get to Boston until 1:50 am and they did not compensate with hotel or anything while my flight to London was not until 8:00 am the next morning. So I spent the night in the airport. Oh and then when I finally got to London, my bag is lost and they told me I'd have it by tomorrow and I still do not have my bag and have called and they said they can't tell me anything."

Minus: "I find it appalling that there is a charge for seat selection. Please add 10 cents to the price of a ticket and do away with the seat charge. It would buy you loyality."
