For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

Minus: "Seats were atrociously uncomfortable for a 6'1" man. Less than zero leg room due to ridiculously tight row spacing and non-reclining seatbacks. Had to attempt to cram in sideways - resulting in serious pain by the time the flight finally landed. Intercom system, especially from the captain, was painfully grating and loud. Boarding was extremely slow, in part because gate personnel made no effort whatsoever to police and enforce the four-group boarding process (premium - no carry-on - group A - group B). People boarded whenever they felt like it, many carrying on huge backpacks and multiple other pieces. Will definitely avoid TAP in future."

Minus: "I had an awful experience. A flight attendant named Comissário Bruno denied me a second dessert when I asked for one. I was flying business class on flight TP059 on March 4 2018 and have Gold status on Star Alliance. Many passengers had declined dessert and I felt extremely embarrassed by having been denied food on a plane for the first time in my life. The attitude and lack of tact of Comissario Bruno on TP059 spoiled the whole flight experience for me."
Minus: "This event refers to my TAP flight from Lisbon to Heathrow on 21-Jan-2018. We arrived to the airport nearly 2 hours before departure time, waited 35min in the security checks and my girlfriend was held 20min in the passport control. While she was queuing for the 2no police officers to check her passport, an airport assistant came to the queue and asked who was due to board in TP364 to Heathrow. She was made aware that my girlfriend was there due to board that flight. In the meantime I made my way to the gate to make the gate assistants aware that she was held in the passport checks and was already on her way to the gate. Having said that, the zealous assistants in the gate have closed the gate in front of me, 18min before scheduled departure time and - "very kindly" - told me that I wouldn't be boarding that flight anymore even though my girlfriend have arrived in the meantime. One can imagine the frustration I felt finding out that the flight departure was delayed and that the flight actually departed 40min late. At that time I was already suffering the extortion of the customer service from TAP, claiming from me circa 400Eur from each of us for a one way ticket in the next flight to London. Therefore... until I remember this... I AM NOT FLYING TAP ANYMORE... I am very proud of being Portuguese but in similar situations that occurred with me flying British Airways, Lufthansa or Air Italia, I have always been treated with much more respect and customer care!"

Minus: "Overbooked the flight by 20 people and split up our group of 4 traveling together. They gave 3 of us tickets and then told my dad who is the least experience traveler that he doesn't have a seat because he didn't check in online even though we were at the airport 2 hours ahead to check in. Paying $1000 for a ticket and then being told you don't have a seat is absolutely unprofessional and rediculous. We were traveling home from europe and had 2 other connections we had to make. After 3 hours they were able to transfer us all to another flight back to the states and then lost my dad's luggage. Horrible experience! Will not travel TAP again!"

Business class seat wasn't a full recline as are those of most competitors, but it was comfortable. I didn't see any snack offerings that most other airlines have available between meals."

But then the stewardess had to spray something in the air around the bins, I found that to be very strange."

There are no Easyjet staff members anywhere so you are just left to get on with it. The plane was a small so this meant little leg room - just about okay as a short flight."

Then when we got to the sweet gal at the desk she told us that we couldn’t bring a personal item on in addition to our carry on luggage. We travel a lot and have never seen that. We had to pay $250 to check our roller bags so that we could bring a purse or book bag."

Also very few spaces left in zone Z even at 6 am!!! I only had hand luggage and I could not see any escalators so I had to wait for lift which was daft. The crew member was rude and forced us to pull out our belongings: a laptop, a professional camera with a big lens, two books, two porcelain items we bought and we were afraid to send in the big suitcase, two bottles of drinks and two sandwiches. Passports and wallets. I begged the crewman to let me go with at least one suitcase, but he replied rudely that he did not care !!! There was a lot of room on the plane, in the cells. The crew agreed with me. They tried to help and brought me an orange garbage bag so I could put all my belongings in it ... really humiliating !!!"

Minus: "I have never been on a flight that didn't allow a carryon bag and some kind of bad to tuck under the seat ahead of you. There was room for my small backpack but because I had a carryon suitcase to go in the overhead bin, they made us check that bag and pay a very hefty fee."
Plus: "We were book on a segment (Rome to London) of a Norwegian Air Flight from Rome to the US. We did not know this until our boarding passes came. There baggage policy made this very difficult. We flew over the first phases of our trip Air Berlin, Alitalia, and Ryan Air. We were alowed a take on piece of luggage and a small backpack on each flight. We had had no problem with this and were very careful to not overstep our limits. When we got to Easy Jet we had to repack our luggage and check one piece for approx $60(we were only allowed 1 piece per person) and then when we got to London we had to repack again back to our original 2 pieces in order not to have to check the large bag we had moved most of our belongings into which would have cost us an additional amoung. Easy Jet Is the only airline I have ever encountered with this insane policy and I am ery resentful of the time and cost of packing and repacking. Luckily we had a collapsible bag with us for an emergency and had arrived at the airport with a 3 hour time frame in which to do this."
Minus: "I will certainly be cautious in using KIWI again because of this and certainly won't ever use Easy Jet. I am now skeptical of Norwegian Air for putting us in this situation. Norwegian Air's food policy makes thier flight very cumbersome and uncomfortable. Theyt ignore requests to buy food if one hasn't done it earlier. I had no idea that on a transatlantic flight absolutely nothing would be offered, including water, except at a price. Because of the luggage debacle we had to time to buy anything"

They charged me over $110 for an extra check bag when kayak told me it would be $65-$110. Scam/stealing. Also, they told me I had to hold my kid during take off and landing instead of them being in their super secure car seat. How is that even logical? They said it was a company policy. If it was a company policy, why didn’t I have to hold my kid on the following flight? Dumb."

Minus: "Apparently Vueling, Iberia's cheap cousin, saves a middle seat in row 1 and charges more. A lot more! I was pressured in Helsinki into letting Swissair, the contracted boarding agent it seems, fill that seat, 1/2 of which is what you get for paying 'business' in a plane that has all economy seating. There was no logic or ability to board before economy and indeed my boarding pass stated economy. The woman that was added to the oversold seat got intoxicated and was half in my seat. I will never fly this again and it's not worth the stress to fight for some refund but I was taken advantage of with charging me a 300+ euro seat for this joke of a flight in a "better" level of service."
