- Vissa flyg landar på den något mer avlägsna Dubai World Central varifrån du tar dig in till centrala Dubai med tunnelbana eller taxi.
- Inne på båda flygplatserna hittar du valutaväxling vilket är bra att utnyttja om du ska ta taxi från flygplatsen eftersom det inte alltid går att betala med kort.

Only found out that the flight may be cancelled from an email from kayak. Eventually got on a flight 6 and a half hours later. When leaving the board still said ek5101 delayed. I am sure if left up to Emirates / Qantas we would still be sitting at Dubai looking at the board."

Minus: "I was asked to check my carry-on. I have used this carry-on more than 50x without an issue. I have even put it in the smaller compartments on smaller Bombardier jets. I don't have an issue with being asked to check luggage, but I resent being asked when others are allowed to take their carry-on onto to the plane without issue. Right in front of me while I was waiting for a baggage tag, others were being checked in with carry-on equal to mine and allowed to take it onto the plane. I can only surmise that my ticket limited me to one bag onto the plane, although they would not tell me this. This was not clear when I booked the ticket nor when I checked in on-line. I had a 40 minute connection in Zurich so was very concerned that my luggage would not make it. Luckily, it did make it to my next stop. Swiss Air seems to have different restrictions than other airlines which I have encountered before. I take ownership that I should be aware of a tickets restrictions but this was a multi-leg trip (5). However, I will tend to avoid Swiss air in the future, to avoid having to research their unique restrictions."

We got ice cream part way through the trip. I loved that we got a piece of Swiss chocolate on each leg of the journey. The crew was friendly. There was a screen at each seat where you could watch movies or TV, listen to music, or track your flight. The entertainment was free, and the crew provided free earphones. Blankets and pillows were provided."

Minus: "Boarding of the flight was delayed which impacted our arrival time in Zurich. I had a connecting flight- but so did at least 10 other Swiss flights at that time. The queues for customs were incredibly long and the only reason I made my flight was because I ran through the airport. I also had a challenging time with food. I am celiac and often cannot eat the standard fare on planes. I called in advance of my flight to notify someone of my allergy - and they told me the only way I could ensure such a meal was by purchasing a meal that cost $30. I was not willing to pay such a hefty surcharge for food because I had already payed a bit extra than budgeted because my partner had recommended the excellent service of Swiss. I have traveled on several airlines for intercontinental flights between Boston and Europe - and have always had my allergy accommodated at no extra cost. Once on the flight - I was offered an orange and banana for dinner and a small yoghurt for breakfast. I will be flying Swiss again in December and I sincerely hope they will be better equipped to provide for my dietary requirements."
Plus: "There was a half hour delay due to some no-show passengers. The flight was delayed while their bags were removed. The problem was explained well. The flight crew seemed to made up for much of the delay by flying faster or more directly so the total flight time did not increase by 30 minutes. Fortunately this was our final flight segment so the delay was not a problem."
Minus: "I liked everything except the airplane itself, which I hated. I was fortunate enough to get an exit row on my long flight going over; I did not get lucky on my way home. The flights between Zurich and Brindisi were more comfortable than the long haul flights. The long haul flights are abominable and should be outlawed by governments as they are currently configured. The boy next to me literally could not fit his legs/thigh bones in the space provided by his seat. I did okay as I am not tall, until the woman in front of me decided to lean back. It is not her fault, however, though I thought nasty things about her and periodically tried to dig my knees into her back to get her to lift up her seat. The fault belongs entirely to Swiss Air, which chooses to treat human customers as steerage. The only thing that made the experience worse was the impossibility of choosing my seat online for my return because I had only a smart phone with not-great wifi available. Choosing one's seat should not be dependent on having good wifi and a computer, however. It is bad practice to "sell" seat choices. The families around me were not able to sit together because of this shoddy, greedy practice on the part of the airline. It is also not fair, subsequently, that other passengers are faced with giving up the seats they've chosen, or been given, to assist families in sitting together. Honestly, the extent of the greed on the part of airlines nowadays is astonishing. What used to be a thoroughly enjoyable way of traveling has become an ordeal at best."

Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

I literally spent an hour in the toilet trying to fall asleep because at least in there I had room to extend my legs. At least in there I could actually breathe (the ventilation system is totally inadequate for anyone sitting near the windows and results in horribly stuffy and uncomfortable air.)"

Sen fick vi vänta ytterligare 1 timme ombord i värmen helt ohyggligt när folk börjar oroa sig för konsekvenserna etc det var ju uppenbart ingen skulle komma ut amma kväll (efter midnatt). När väl ute fanns bara 1 service desk till hela planet, jag kunde åka hem och sova och skita i vouchers men de som behövde hotell lär ha väntat halva natten. Det enda som var ok var att de svarade snabbt på telefon följande morgon - men meddelade inte som man sagt den nya bokningen via sms eller mail!"

The one time when I thought the staff faltered was when I hit the paige attendant button, and noone came for 25 mins. I ended up walking to the back of the plane and asking for water myself. I also thought some of the materials used in the plane were cheap, like the foldout tables on the back of the seat, the pillow covers, and the headphones (one of which broke midway). The headphones don't cover the noise of the jet in flight very well."

I ask for hotel they said you have to make visa cost 60 dollars and you know I have to pay taxi and Chang money... Pla Pla, Actually this is not respecting and very bad organization. 9. I didn't make visa and stay from that time until 3.pm in primum lungs. 10. I went to Saudi airline deck to take my boarding. 11. They said you have extra baggage, I explain them that I payed already to turkish airline. 12. They said you have to go back to turkish airline deck about this extra kg's. 13. I did going back to them they said we cannot do anything, leave one bag here and we send the other one later. Actually this stupid airline and this stupid employee's dealing with me like a stupid, all my time I walk every where in that stupid airport, they just gives me orders and I have to follow like it was my mistake. 14. I showed my alfursan membership to Saudi airline deck and they helped me. 15. When I arrived to Riyadh my baggage wasn't there, this is mean that this stupid turkish people that the have to work on barbcue and haircut, but airports jop needs professional people. That's was my first and last flight with them."

It took an hour of being ignored by various TA staff to eventually get my boarding pass to the next available flight to London. I nearly missed that one as well because of it. The staff in Turkey was rude and unhelpful and most didn’t understand English properly. There were a number of others having the same issues, it was an awful experience."

Minus: "After missing our connecting flight in Istanbul on our Turkish Airlines flight on January 9th from LAX-Addis Ababa (due to a nearly 45 minute delayed flight), my sister and I had to spend 24 hours in Istanbul and still pay for a night in our 4 star hotel in Addis, despite the fact that we weren't there. So, in preparation for our flight back to LAX, I spent hours on the phone with a Turkish Airlines representative to ensure that we would not miss our connecting flight on the way back to LAX on January 29 (Jomo Kenyatta-IST-LAX). The TA representative spoke very little English and became incredibly frustrated with me when I expressed my concern about how closely scheduled our connecting flights in Istanbul were. The representative said she could "help us" by seating us at the back of the plane from Jomo Kenyatta-IST, as she was "mostly sure" that our plane would deboard from the back of the plane once we arrived in Istanbul and, in theory, we wouldn't have to wait behind all the other customers to exit. This was totally incorrect: our plane only deboarded from the front exit door and the seats she selected at the back would surely have caused us to miss our next flight were it not for the fact that the plane wasn't full and we arrived only a few minutes late. Still, by the time we got off the plane in IST, our connecting flight was already 15 minutes into boarding. We showed the TA attendants our boarding passes at the long security line, and at first they both said, "don't worry, it will be fine". I had to convince them to let us skip the line as we would clearly have missed our flight. Once we finally made it through security we ran through the ENTIRE Istanbul airport to get to our gate, as we could hear them calling the final boarding call for our flight to LAX. We literally ran as fast as we could for almost 20 minutes straight, with all of our bags, which ended up being over a mile, I would guess. When we got to our gate, we had to go through yet another security line - WHY??? Apparently there was a celebrity in front of us, and while we were sweating and nervous about missing our flight, the security agents were taking selfies with the celebrity. It was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. The take away for me is that Turkish Airlines should NOT be allowed to sell flights to people that give them less than an hour to make international connecting, especially in an airport as large and disorganized as Istanbul, and especially when Turkish Airlines flights are often late or delayed. This was one of the most stressful flying experiences of my life."

Ended up taking Uber to the hotel only to find out their shuttle service does not start in the morning before 5:30 am. They booked me on a 6 am flight with 5:45 boarding time. The hotel scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 3:30 am to make back to the airport on time. I ended up spending $70 and I’m totally exhausted. I wished I just stayed at the airport. Not to mention the quality of the hotel accommodations is less than average. Very disappointed with how this whole situation was managed."

And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Minus: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."
