SAS, Norwegian och easyJet har avstått från sina ändrings- och avbokningsavgifter för flyg från Stockholm Arlanda till Berlin Brandenburg. Kontrollera policyerna på varje bokningssida.
Tyskland har begränsat inresor för resenärer från länder utanför europeiska ekonomiska samarbetsområdet, med undantag för tyska medborgare, personer med uppehållstillstånd och innehavare av D-visum samt personer med särskilda undantag (se nedan). Tyskland har begränsat alla passagerarflyg från Storbritannien. För att kunna resa till Tyskland med undantagen transport behöver brittiska medborgare som är bosatta i Tyskland uppvisa bevis på uppehållstillstånd. Om de ännu inte har ett uppehållstillstånd måste de tillhandahålla trovärdiga bevis för att de är bosatta i Tyskland. Detta kan inkludera ett adressregistreringscertifikat (Meldebescheinigung), ett hyresavtal, en elräkning i deras namn eller ett ansökningsintyg (Fiktionsbescheinigung). Från och med den 25 juni 2020 får resenärer från Österrike, Belgien, Bulgarien, Kroatien, Tjeckien, Cypern, Danmark, Estland, Finland, Frankrike, Grekland, Ungern, Island, Irland, Italien, Lettland, Liechtenstein, Litauen, Luxemburg, Malta, Nederländerna, Norge, Polen, Portugal, Slovakien, Slovenien, Spanien och Sverige komma in i landet. Tyskland har också upphävt inreserestriktionerna för resenärer från följande länder: Australien, Nya Zeeland, Singapore, Thailand och Uruguay. Resenärer måste ha tillbringat minst 2 veckor i ovannämnda länder innan de flyger till Tyskland. Inreserestriktionerna för Kina, Japan, Sydkorea, Hongkong och Macao kommer också att upphävas om detta kan avtalas på ömsesidig grund. Listan kommer att ses över varannan vecka. Inresa från ett tredje land är möjlig för resenärer som kan visa upp ett viktigt skäl för inresa. Förteckningen över viktiga skäl omfattar tyska medborgare och EU-medborgare samt alla tredjelandsmedborgare med uppehållsrätt i Tyskland. Det omfattar även hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal, hälsoforskare, utbildade arbetstagare vars ekonomiska verksamhet är nödvändig och inte kan skjutas upp eller utövas från utlandet, frakt- och transportpersonal, säsongsarbetare, studenter som inte kan fortsätta sina studier från utlandet, resenärer på besök av brådskande familjeskäl, diplomater och personal vid internationella organisationer och personer som mellanlandar i Tyskland. Resenärer som reser in i Tyskland efter att ha vistats i ett särskilt riskområde utomlands under de senaste 14 dagarna måste genomgå obligatorisk testning för COVID-19. Resande från Albanien, Andorra, Bolivia, Bosnien och Hercegovina, Brasilien, Colombia, Tjeckien, Egypten, Estland, Iran, Irland, Israel, Kosovo, Lettland, Libanon, Litauen, Mexiko, Montenegro, Nordmakedonien, Palestinska territoriet, Panama, Portugal , Serbien, Slovenien, Sydafrika, Spanien, Förenade Arabemiraten, Storbritannien eller USA måste ha ett läkarintyg med ett negativt COVID-19-testresultat utfärdat inom 48 timmar före ankomst. Godkända tester är: Antigen-, PCR-, RT-LAMP- och TMA-tester. Barn under 6 år är undantagna från att presentera ett COVID-19 testresultat. Resenärer som kommer in i Tyskland från ett annat land och har besökt ett högriskområde under de senaste tio dagarna, måste göra en digital registrering före resan.
Kraven på karantän i Tyskland varierar beroende på delstat. Alla inresande från högriskområden (över 50 fall per 100 000 invånare) måste fullfölja 10 dagars karantän vid ankomst till Tyskland. Efter 5 dagar är det möjligt att undslippa resterande karantänsdagar med ett negativt test. Mer information finns att läsa här. I de flesta delstater innebär ett negativt provsvar tidigast efter fem dagar att karantän i hemmet inte längre krävs. I vissa delstater krävs dessutom att undantag från karantänsplikten ska lämnas in med ett negativt provsvar.
Resenärer som reser genom Tyskland från Brasilien, Irland, Portugal, Sydafrika eller Storbritannien måste ha ett läkarintyg med ett negativt COVID-19-testresultat utfärdat inom 48 timmar före ankomst. Godkända tester är: Antigen-, PCR-, RT-LAMP- och TMA-tester. Certifikatet måste vara på engelska, franska eller tyska. Barn under 6 år är undantagna från att presentera ett COVID-19 testresultat.

I cancelled the flight with Lufthansa who said I must call Kayak who gave me another number to call and that number then sent an email that said there was a $350 rebooking fee for each ticket, IF they decided I was eligible for rebooking. Yes, we got a great rate, but looks like wasted $ now. I will book directly with the airline in the future to ensure the ability to rebook."

When I called and asked if they would rebook me the lady on the phone said that she could rebook for a trip that had two layovers from 2pm(Prague time) to 8:30pm(NYC time) for the 24th of November (thanksgiving). When I asked her if there was anything else she said that was the soonest flight she could find. When I checked my self I found and booked a flight for the 23rd. When I called back they refused to give me a refund."

Minus: "JFK-Madrid flight got delayed by 3 hours which would cause me to miss my connection for Madrid-Split (~2 hour layover), I asked the Iberia representatives at JFK about changing the flight and they reassured me that “the connecting flight would hold for us” and “no need to change our flight”. To our surprise the connecting flight already left when we arrived to Madrid. It’s clear that this was a case of “not our problem” from the JFK Iberia ticket agent. Rather than helping us find a viable alternative for our flight (namely a flight that doesn’t arrive more than a full day later) before leaving for Madrid they shipped us to Madrid where there were poor/no options for getting to Split at the original planned time. I’m very upset that I’m going arrive more than a day late to my destination and that I was blatantly lied to by the Iberia agent at JFK, never ever going to book a flight with Iberia again."

Minus: "Boarding was horrendous: they have the whole flight stand and wait to board! In Madrid, they called to initiate boarding and we stood for 15-20 min before anyone moved at all; business class was then called, and we ended up standing another 15-20 min in the jetway before being ushered into the plane! Even in business class, the entertainment system was poor it's difficult to use and my system froze entirely on the way to Madrid. It worked on the way back, but the selection was relatively limited and poor."
Minus: "Boarding was extremely disorganized and hectic. No lines or sections were created to organize boarding process. Boarding area was crammed with people pushing to board. Seat selections of many passengers (including my boyfriend's and my own) were switched at the last minute right as we were boarding . We had to wait until everyone was seated to negotiate seat changes with fellow passengers in order to sit together. The seat and luggage moves added to the chaos on the plane and delayed the flight by about 45 minutes. food was mediocre, seats uncomfortable. All in all not a good experience. Had boarding been calmer and smoother the rest of the issues wouldn't be as notable as us passengers would have been in a much better mood."

Everyone was angry. A very unpleasant airport experience. Which certainly lends itself to an unpleasant flight experience. People were so worked up the tension was palpable. A problem easily fixed, if only there was some care. The passport check attendants moved at a snails pace. It felt deliberate. In these trying times, I was not impressed."
Minus: "We paid $30 each way for extra legroom, but our seats did not provide it, and there were no empty seats available in the appropriate rows to correct the error. As happened before the airline pleaded a "change of aircraft" with no extra legroom seats. We were somewhat accommodated by being re-seated in the middle section with an empty seat between us, but this was not what we preferred or needed."

This went on for 4 hours (the last two hours of which we did not receive any updates). The flight was originally scheduled to leave at 8:10. At 12:30am we were told our plane was at the gate and being prepared for us to board and the agent giving announcements said we were "guaranteed to leave TONIGHT". At 1am we were told that unfortunately the plane got to the gate just a bit too late and not the crew are not legally allowed to fly and the flight would be pushed back until 8am. At the time, I thought 7 hours was strange and I'd assume the crew would need more like 8-10 hours to rest. Unfortunately because we were told so late, all hotels were booked up. I live in NYC and would've gone home for the night however because we needed to be back by 6am (what the agent suggested), there seemed no point in leaving. We were not provided with any pillows or blankets until 4 in the morning. At 6am the next morning, we were told the crew needed "more rest time" and that our new departure time would be 9:30. How is it that the crew now needs more time? Shouldn't that have been figured out at 1am? Before we board, one of the agents thinks they will "lighten the mood" with the following comment - "Who would've thought a little bad weather would've caused this?" Absolutely not a time for jokes and people were very angry. We finally board for what we think is finally a 9:30am take off. No - now two new issues - 1, the co pilot is late (LATE? how can you be late when a flight has been delayed 16 hours) and 2, they needed to remove package from the plane for people who were no longer taking this flight. In the end, we took off around 11:30am which messed up a lot of peoples connecting flights, pick ups at the airport, etc. I will never fly this airline again."

Furthermore, we got to the Air Baltic counter, we were given 5Euro meal vouchers even though we will be staying at the Riga airport for 9 hours. Also they gave us terrible customer service attitude, which we definitely do not deserve after being delayed, and causing so much trouble on their behalf. Definitely do not recommend flying with Air Baltic again. I've never been this angry with any air line."

Minus: "For people who have Airbaltic as a connecting flight this might be very inconvenient. We paid 40 Eur/person each way for our luggage . That brings the price that you pay so much higher than you expect at first. Also if you don't print boarding pass ahead of time which we didn't (plus still needed to drop off checked luggage and check our passports) they want to charge you 30 Eur a person to print that drinking piece of paper. If you don't want to pay that get out of the line with all of you luggage, go to kiosk and print it, then come back to the line. But that's companies rules , employees just have to follow it. Another problem was their attitude. The guy who got our luggage was so weird. Showing off and talking to us like a boss. After giving us boarding passes he said we can go to the screen and look up the gate ourselves. I never write long reviews but man! they got me mad that day. Never say never - but I don't want to fly with this airline again"
