The boarding staff were professional. I could not board because I was not aware or informed of Covid restrictions in Japan (passing through) . Fortunately the counter staff declined my boarding so I was not stuck in ORD or rejected in Japan. I will gain the required testing and reschedule the trip next week.

The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation."

Flight from USA to Dubai was comfortable. There is some serious miscommunication between the staff who does checkin and immigration staff in India. Air Suvidha rules are enforced here as a requirement by the Indian government and without it not allowed to board the flight. The Indian authorities don’t even bother to check it. Please update either side of aisle. Vegetarian food from Dubai to Bombay was not that great at all. It was cold and chewy. Dubai being a hub can provide better options. Staff is very good and took good care of passengers. Please appreciate their hard work.
Emirates flights are always on time. Their food is generally good. Highly recommended!

The flight was smooth and attendants were efficient. Food was mediocre. Lounge food in Dubai was not good. Lounge food in Milan was excellent.
Aircraft started from Dubai was dirty which became more dirtier afterwards. Bangkok cleaning staff was just fixing optics and wrappers and left over food was between window and window seat narrow gaps.

They pick random passengers for this. Irritating."

Most things were good to excellent. However the airplane from IST to LAX was much too tightly configured in terms of its seats. I am of average height and was OK in my seat until the seat in front of me reclined. At that point, for the entire flight, my knees were in contact with the seat in front of me. A difference of 6 inches would have made for an entirely better flight experience.

Att gå ombord var kaos och en del förändringar med att gå ombord. Det som ni har kunnat att göra är att komma ut med tydliga information och tydliga instruktioner till resenärer så att de inte agerar på egna händer tex när de står i kön kunde de som var vid disken att tala om i högtalaren till resenärer att sätta sig ner och ropar endast på dem som har sittplatser längst in i flyget och var noga med att kontrollera sittplatser vid på stigning så att de underlättar senare steget när resenärerna är på flyget. Det finns en del som man kunde ha gjort men jag har tyvärr inte tid att skriva allt här. Lycka till

The ticket price is reasonable, the Istanbul Airport is amazing .New clean fun have everything you need it even the shoping price is great, inside the airplane is modern and clean ,the crew the clean the Bathroom after every passenger due to covid, also the give you PPE package to stay clean and safe, the crew staff are organized and friendly, the food is fresh and delicious, I recommend Turkish airline for any one need easy trip from the begging to the end. Thank you kayak for the great 👍 ticket price. Love it.!!!

Minus: "Missed Flight: The flight from Istanbul to Athens was posted as delayed. We were a party of eight and arrived for boarding very close to deadline (minus posted delays) At the boarding gate we were met by six other passengers. The gate was vacant and closed. The real problem happened at the Turkish Airlines desk where we were treated with arrogance, disdain and absolutely no compassion. AS a matter of fact some of the Turkish Airlines staff smiled as they imposed an outrageous fine to purchase tickets to the next flight and continuation of our previous booking. We intend to protest the charges and contact thru many forms of media inform as many fellow travellers of the incident and subsequent treatment by Turkish Airlines. Social media is a powerful tool and although the cards were held in their favor the night of 9-21-17 our protest will not end here. We are fourteen wounded travellers that have agreed to use as many forms of social media as possible to get our message out."

The entire row behind me had 1 adult & 2 children. 2 Hours into the flight, there were 4 children, no adults and the seats were used as a playpen. 7 hours of kicking, punching the screen, opening the window shutter during "sleeping time" as instructed by the crew. Wine was poured on my back, water splashed on the person next to me, children were climbing over my head... etc. No parents or flight attendants could help the situation. Boarding was a mess. 10-15 passengers surrounding me sat anywhere they wanted creating a delay to push back because everyone just sat with their family and disregarded the chaos it created for those individual travelers wanting to sit in "THEIR PROPER SEAT". This was the worst / never ending flying experience I've ever had. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."
Plus: "The food was delicious. I have never had better airplane food. The movies were super new and interesting. I did not have time in the 11 hours of flying to watch all the movies I wanted to. The flight was also incredibly smooth."
Minus: "There were a few small things that could have been better (Which I'll mention), but the worst thing about the flight was the airport. Ataturk Airport is a mess. After the attempted coup, they really upped security, forcing all international flights to go through a second security screening after transferring from another airport. It's understandable but the line moved at a molasses-like speed when I had only 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. The security personnel were rude, as well. Also, when I went to make my connecting gate in Cairo, there was no one at the gate after the required boarding time (Because security had held us up), forcing some of us to board the plane without having anyone to show us onto the plane (Very scary). The flight boarding was chaotic, and no announcements were made about what we were supposed to do. Besides the lack of boarding gates, the only other serious complaint I had against Turkish Airlines (Because it really was great overall) was that the pilots and flight attendants were very hard to understand. I have taught ESL for the past 5 years, and I still had a hard time as an American understanding their English. Also, they frequently didn't understand or misunderstood questions that I would ask them. I've never had a hard time understanding flight attendants on an international flight, but I only understood about 20% of what anyone said over the loud speaker in the plane. And it's nice to be able to understand when the pilot says, "We are experiencing some turbulence and would like everyone to buckle their seatbelts until it passes." Two small things remain: 1. The bathroom trash cans were full on every flight (A small thing but makes everything feel "trashy"). 2. The flight attendants seemed unhappy, and they definitely seemed unhappy to be serving us. I can only assume they are that way because they aren't treated particularly well by their bosses."

The tray table would not come all the way down flat before it hit my knees. If there were a lower rating than poor, the seats would have won it; Movies were among the worst ever. where do you get them?"
