Inreserestriktioner
Kanada har begränsat inresa för alla utländska medborgare. Resenärer som inte är kanadensiska medborgare, fast bosatta eller personer som är registrerade enligt indisk lag får endast resa in i Kanada för viktiga ändamål. Inträde kommer att nekas personer som reser för turism, sightseeing, rekreation, underhållning, sociala besök eller religiösa tillställningar. Kanada har ställt in alla flygningar till och från Storbritannien till och med den 6 januari. Utländska medborgare som är berättigade att resa till Kanada är de som är direkta/indirekta familjemedlemmar till en kanadensisk medborgare eller fast bosatt, en person som fått tillstånd att resa till Kanada av landets folkhälsobyrå till följd av speciella skäl, personer som är bemyndigade av Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage att resa till Kanada i syfte att medverka i ett enda internationellt idrottsevenemang, tillfälligt utländska arbetstagare, internationella studenter, personer som har tillstånd att bli fast bosatta, transiterande passagerare, medlemmar av de kanadensiska styrkorna, ackrediterade diplomater och deras närmaste familjemedlemmar, flyg- och marinbesättningsmedlemmar, franska medborgare som bor i Saint-Pierre och Miquelon och endast varit i Kanada. En direkt familjemedlem till en medborgare eller fast bosatt i Kanada måste resa för att spendera tid med den nationella personen eller det fast bosatta och ha för avsikt att stanna i Kanada i 15 dagar eller mer. Indirekta familjemedlemmar till en medborgare eller fast bosatt i Kanada måste resa tillsammans med den nationella eller fast bosatta personen, och ha för avsikt att stanna i Kanada i 15 dagar eller mer och ha ett skriftligt tillstånd från Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Inträdeskrav
Alla passagerare som är fem år eller äldre måste uppvisa ett medicinskt intyg med ett negativt resultat från COVID-19 PCR-prov som utfärdats inom 72 timmar före avgång. Resenärer utan ett negativt test kommer att nekas ombordstigning på deras flyg. Resenärer från ett land där PCR-tester inte är tillgängliga måste rapportera till en utsedd Public Health Agency of Canada-karantänstation för folkhälsa i Kanada under den tid de sitter i obligatorisk 14-dagars karantän. Förseningar i att erhålla provningsresultat är inte tillåtet. De som undantas från detta krav omfattar barn som inte fyllt fem år eller äldre. Andra undantag omfattar besättningsmedlemmar eller personer som endast ämnar resa in i Kanada för att bli en besättningsmedlem, leverantörer av räddningstjänster, stopp av teknisk karaktär och tankning av flyg. Från och med den 1 februari, måste alla internationella passagerare som flyger till Toronto Pearson-flygplatsen ta ytterligare ett COVID-19-test vid ankomsten, utöver det obligatoriska testet före avgång för resenärer som anländer till Kanada med flyg. Den som av medicinska skäl inte kan bära ansiktsmask måste ha ett läkarintyg. Resenärer måste lämna in sin information digitalt via Kanadas ArriveCAN app innan de går ombord på sitt flyg. Detta omfattar rese- och kontaktinformation, karantänplan och självbedömning av COVID-19-symtom. De måste ha bevis för att de har lämnat in sina uppgifter digitalt. Resenärer måste ha en plan för att sitta i karantän i 14 dagar när de anländer till Kanada (inklusive en lämplig karantänstation, hur de kommer till sin destination, inköp av livsmedel och tillgång till nödvändiga tjänster och sjukvård). Utländska medborgare som reser utan skriftligt förhandsgodkännande för undantag från gränsrestriktioner kan nekas inresa till Kanada.
Karantänskrav
Resenärer måste hålla sig i karantän i 14 dagar. Detta inkluderar en obligatorisk förskottsbokning på 3 nätter på ett regeringsautoriserat hotell på egen bekostnad (cirka 2 000 CAD) och att ta ett molekylärt COVID-19-test vid ankomst på egen bekostnad. Mot slutet av karantänperioden kommer resenärer att behöva ta ytterligare ett COVID-19-test och stanna kvar i karantän tills de får ett negativt testresultat. Vissa personer är undantagna från det obligatoriska karantänskravet när de kommer in i Kanada för att utföra ett nödvändigt arbete eller en viktig funktion enligt karantänslagen. Eventuella undantag kommer att godkännas för varje enskild ankomst till Kanada.
Transiteringsregler
Inresande passagerare måste göra sina researrangemang för transitering genom Kanada i god tid i förväg, se till att flygningar och anslutningar är så direkta som möjligt för att begränsa kontakt i Kanada. Flera inrikesförbindelser anses inte lämpliga, och det är viktigt att göra nödvändiga förbindelser som är så korta som möjligt. Om två anslutningsflyg ligger mer än 24 timmar från varandra måste passageraren självisolera sig inför nästa flygning. Transiterande passagerare måste stanna i det säkra transitområdet på en kanadensisk flygplats för att slutföra sin anslutning. Om de måste lämna flygplatsen eller det säkra transitområdet på grund av inställda flygningar eller förseningar, ska de hållas i karantän till dess att deras flyg avgår, följa alla riktlinjer som flygplatsmyndigheten tillhandahåller och följa alla flygkrav, samt provinsiella och territoriella begränsningar, beroende på var de har sin transit.

Endast Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau (YUL), Calgary International Airport (YYC) och Vancouver International Airport (YVR) flyger med internationella flyg. Inrikesflyg, liksom flygningar från Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, och då endast lastflyg, kommer att vara undantagna.

I hope my luggage arrives like they say a day later."

Minus: "The flight to Lviv was cancelled after 3 hours delay. All happens in life. But the only option Turkish airlines were offering is to fly the next day. I was flying to the funeral and this was not working for me (especially this was their second flight to Lviv cancelled - 2 in a row). The transfer desk didn't inform that there were two other flights going the same day of other airlines. When i approached to help me to go with a different airline the personal was very rude saying they will not help transferring the luggage and that they can't unload the luggage sooner than 3 hours after you go out of the security and passport control. When i asked to book to a different destination in Ukraine. It took 50 min at the desk to do it. Simply because 4 people at the desk were laughing and joking and nobody was concerned about the queue of over 40 people staying. After 30 min it turned out they've lost my boarding pass and it took 15 min to find it as one of the transfer guys managers simply took it to a different room... At the end when they found it it took only 5 min to do the work. I would appreciate more information from the desk about available flights and more support to manage the situation. I'm happy that people at the transfer desk are so joyful and happy it obviously helps to deal with the stressed passengers whose flight was cancel."
