Hyperactive, very noisy three-year old raised a ruckus for the almost the whole flight and during the long wait to disembark. I think that there were 100 empty places on the plane. The child and his mother and father could have been invited to move to a less densely occupied part of the aircraft.

Rued and unhelpful airport staff when asking for directions. Food is really bad.
The entertainment selection was great, boarding process was smooth. However, the staff were so rude, my tray table was broken so had drinks split on me. I had a child coughing on me and kicking me in her sleep. The person in front of me put his seat down so far that my knees were against the seat (I’m only 5’9). The person behind me used her tray table to sleep so I couldn’t put my seat back. She woke up for breakfast, by which point I wanted sleep so I put my seat back and she complained about it so I had to put the seat upright again!

I am of relatively normal (althletic) build not overweight or unusually tall etc. They initially told me there were no other free seats so I ended up sat on the floor. Turns out there were free seats. They lied."

Please have restroom facilities in boarding area, past security so you can use the restroom without having to go through security again. Good thing he took a photo. Third try was the charm but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Agents need to be more diligent with where they are sending bags and to double- and triple-check before he luggage is sent down the ramps."

Minus: "Check-in closes one hour before your flight. Economy class: Food was a clingwrapped sandwich. The attendant gave me two bottles of a good South African wine. Security has gotten quite uptight at Kigali airport. They now stop your cab a couple hundred meters short of the airport, and have a dog check the vehicle. You have to pass through another security checkpoint at the entry to the airport building, and a third security into the boarding area. The final security check even takes away any empty bottles you have. And don't take any fingernail scissors in your handcarry, even if they have blunt points. You may have an hour or more wait in preboarding, and without water or bathroom excess. So takke care of these needs in advance."

Minus: "This airline is an operational nightmare. I purchased a ticket with a connection, and the second flight being a codeshare, two months in advance. On the day of travel, I checked in, checked two bags, and headed to the gate. An hour before the flight, a Rwandaair agent approached me to inform me that they were no longer code sharing with precision air, the second flight. Chaos ensued, my bags got lost, I got stuck in Nairobi, etc. in Nairobi, one of the Kenya airways agents literally said to me 'avoid Rwandaair and precision airlines - they are both airlines that do not follow any regulations, and not just operational, but safety as well.'"

Minus: "After I bought my tickets the flights were rescheduled, giving us an 8 hour layover between flights... some in our party were stuck in the airport with nothing to do, and there is nothing to do in that airport. One question, when will passengers learn that listening to music or movies on the plane without headphones is really uncool?"

Selection of snacks could be healthier in between meal service on a long haul flight.
Simply put, short of upgrading seat class, I couldn't have asked for a more friendly, accommodating, comfortable experience flying.
Delays throughout, lost baggage for all six people in our party. We were told the next day that our baggage was not the responsibility of Swissair and that they could not track it and that only Florence Airport could help us. Florence has no one available to speak with for most of the day. Stranded in paradise without clothes isn’t a great feeling.

Minus: "For international travel, I’m always told to get there 3 hours before. For this trip we checked in but didn’t have access to a printer so needed a boarding pass. We wanted to carry on luggage so just needed to print the pass. Swiss was the only airline that wasn’t available on the check-in kiosks. The front desk staff didn’t arrive until closer to 1.5 hours before check in so nearly theall passengers were in a huge line to get passes and check bags."

Plus: "We had two flights with Swiss and the first one left half an hour late, meaning we only had about 10 minutes to connect to the next one. Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

Minus: "I am not unusually large but it is clear that the seats on your planes are completely inadequate for anyone other than a child. There is no possible way for anyone who isn't seriously sedated to sleep or even sit for any extended period of time in what amount to slightly cushioned coffins. I literally spent an hour in the toilet trying to fall asleep because at least in there I had room to extend my legs. At least in there I could actually breathe (the ventilation system is totally inadequate for anyone sitting near the windows and results in horribly stuffy and uncomfortable air.)"

Minus: "I will only say that I am writing this review as we are sitting on the plane in Newark where we are waiting for our gate for a half an hour already and we do not know when we would get off board. And oh yeah... the flight was originally late for about an hour too! Simply unacceptable!"

Minus: "I was taken away from boarding for a random check that took a long time due to not enough staff Entertainment system was broken for about 50 people, even after a reset. Terrible for an overseas flight. Food was very poor, staff lied about resetting the entertainment system. The plane took off 1 hour late and was not allowed to taxi to taxi to the gate for 1 hour, making us extremely late."

Minus: "Boarding was a mess, late as usual and with no organization of any sort. Terminal E in Zurich has no air conditioning, so you wait in heat and no air. Also who came up with the design to put toilets upstairs where you ave to go using small and crowded hallways."

Minus: "Allt annat. Fick vänta 2 timmar ombord flyg utan AC (35 grader varmt?) innan besked kom att planet ej var flygdugligt. Sen fick vi vänta ytterligare 1 timme ombord i värmen helt ohyggligt när folk börjar oroa sig för konsekvenserna etc det var ju uppenbart ingen skulle komma ut amma kväll (efter midnatt). När väl ute fanns bara 1 service desk till hela planet, jag kunde åka hem och sova och skita i vouchers men de som behövde hotell lär ha väntat halva natten. Det enda som var ok var att de svarade snabbt på telefon följande morgon - men meddelade inte som man sagt den nya bokningen via sms eller mail!"

Minus: "The first flight was cancelled after we sat on the plane for over an hour. We all had to wait in line at the transfer desk. Then our second flight attempt- boarding was awful, total chaos. The flight was delayed because boarding was so long. Then once we landed late, there was an issue deboarding the flight with the stairs and we were stuck for 40 mins for this process."
Minus: "Once again, my flight was late. Four out of the last five trips to Barcelona Swiss had a significant delay (longer than the duration of the trip itself) on at least one of the segments. It's getting a bit hard to believe actually."

Att gå ombord var kaos och en del förändringar med att gå ombord. Det som ni har kunnat att göra är att komma ut med tydliga information och tydliga instruktioner till resenärer så att de inte agerar på egna händer tex när de står i kön kunde de som var vid disken att tala om i högtalaren till resenärer att sätta sig ner och ropar endast på dem som har sittplatser längst in i flyget och var noga med att kontrollera sittplatser vid på stigning så att de underlättar senare steget när resenärerna är på flyget. Det finns en del som man kunde ha gjort men jag har tyvärr inte tid att skriva allt här. Lycka till

I got to see the flight crew handle a medical emergency and saw that they were well prepared, efficient, and concerned. The food and entertainment were fine. I felt like the seat space was better than on British which I often use. I had an empty seat next to me however. I was impressed that the flight crew moved a taller gentleman to a premium (exit) seat to accommodate his extra tall stature. He didn't ask, but they wanted him to be comfortable."
Minus: "The airport in Istanbul is pretty manageable. They changed the gate on us twice for the connection, which meant a bit of walking. But the crowd was pretty manageable compared to LHR."

Minus: "But the second leg of my trip which was Lagos back to Houston was horrible, the Turkish Airlines employees at the Murtala Mohammed International airport Lagos were the worst ever, unprofessional, rude and lack basic knowledge of boarding. Decided to do their own thing rather than what the airline allows. It's almost like they lacked training or just don't want to learn. No accountability whatsoever as one of the employee said "it's not like it's gonna affect my job anyways". Poor poor terrible customer service, no courtesy, no etiquette. I can go on and on but ain't nobody got time for their negativity."

The in-flight entertainment had a pretty impressive selection and had one of the best-designed interfaces I've seen so far (and I've ridden a variety of airlines). Last and most important, the food was hands down the BEST I've had on a plane. Turkish is killing it, they're my new go-to airline!"

Plus: "It was a 12 or 13 hour flight and except for sitting too much we were never uncomfortable. The service level made me think we were back in the 80's. Hot towels, attentive service, tons of food and free drinks. There was actually one meal that we would have eaten even if it wasn't on a plane. They gave out full size blankets and pretty fluffy pillows. (I bring our own anymore, because you never know if you will get one on most airlines, and if you do they're usually useless). Their entertainment system was amazing. We caught up on all the recently released movies that we've wanted to see for FREE! If only Netflix had this quality of movie offerings. They had fresh flowers in the huge bathrooms. It's that type of attention to detail you just really don't see anymore."

Plus: "The food was delicious. I have never had better airplane food. The movies were super new and interesting. I did not have time in the 11 hours of flying to watch all the movies I wanted to. The flight was also incredibly smooth."
Minus: "There were a few small things that could have been better (Which I'll mention), but the worst thing about the flight was the airport. Ataturk Airport is a mess. After the attempted coup, they really upped security, forcing all international flights to go through a second security screening after transferring from another airport. It's understandable but the line moved at a molasses-like speed when I had only 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. The security personnel were rude, as well. Also, when I went to make my connecting gate in Cairo, there was no one at the gate after the required boarding time (Because security had held us up), forcing some of us to board the plane without having anyone to show us onto the plane (Very scary). The flight boarding was chaotic, and no announcements were made about what we were supposed to do. Besides the lack of boarding gates, the only other serious complaint I had against Turkish Airlines (Because it really was great overall) was that the pilots and flight attendants were very hard to understand. I have taught ESL for the past 5 years, and I still had a hard time as an American understanding their English. Also, they frequently didn't understand or misunderstood questions that I would ask them. I've never had a hard time understanding flight attendants on an international flight, but I only understood about 20% of what anyone said over the loud speaker in the plane. And it's nice to be able to understand when the pilot says, "We are experiencing some turbulence and would like everyone to buckle their seatbelts until it passes." Two small things remain: 1. The bathroom trash cans were full on every flight (A small thing but makes everything feel "trashy"). 2. The flight attendants seemed unhappy, and they definitely seemed unhappy to be serving us. I can only assume they are that way because they aren't treated particularly well by their bosses."

Minus: "Our flight was canceled and we lost an entire day of our vacation (apartment rental, car rental, etc). Before leaving to Istanbul when we were in New York we asked if they would reroute our flights from New York City to Naples, Italy since the terrorist attack occurred in Istanbul causing the airport to be shut down. We were reassured that there would be no problems and we would be rerouted once we landed in Turkey, and lo and behold our flights were canceled. We had to spend the day in Turkey, pay for our own food, and pay for the visa €30 per person. This all could have been avoided had they rerouted our flights to another city."
