Minus: The flight was late to Helsinki and we missed our connecting flight to Barcelona that was also on Finnair. I was given a hotel voucher to a nice hotel with a complimentary dinner voucher. The dinner was a buffet that was limited and less than mediocre. A chicken option was not even provided, no soup

Plus: The staff was great, helpful and polite. Seating was fantastic, exit row with our children together in front of us.
Minus: We already had printed out tickets but it took over an hour and twenty minutes to check out bag. Additionally the flights departure was delayed by 25 minutes.

Minus: Language barriers are always hard, i sat next to someone who didn’t speak English well, one of the flight crew sounded irritated instead of understanding.

Minus: The baggage and checking in process. Better training did on the checking in crew for international flight baggage, one one person knew what the requirements are.

Minus: I didn’t realize that Chinese transit visa is needed to transfer at Xiamen airport. When I bought the tickets, I wasn’t notified nor advised to get the Chinese visa. The Xiamen rep at Lax didn’t let me board first and I explained and they gave me the visa waiver paperwork. It was so much of hassle. I’ve laid over many Chinese cities via different airlines and never had any problems. Will not fly again on Xiamen!!
Plus: The Chinese people were wonderful! But I was required to pass thru security checks 3 times arriving. 3 times transiting and 3 times leaving. At customs, transit and departure. No common sense to their process only"letter of the law". For example I was taking beef jerky to my friends in Thailand but the Chinese security has a meat sniffing dog and they confiscated it as well as the girl in front of me More than $100 worth of jerky. They should have given it back at departure gate. I had to buy more in their duty free shop. Also they cancelled my flight without advising me but did get me on Thai airways later that day. Too much hassle to Transit China
Minus: Flight got delayed in Xiamen, miss the connecting flight to chongqing.
Plus: Just good overall. Beats any American carrier (which is not saying too much!).
Minus: Was late. But they were very apologetic (not their fault). Seattle port entry is HORRIBLE. I thought China was bad!

Minus: There was no choice for dinner. It was only a fait accompli that eating from one category remained. When I refused, they did not respond to my request to replace the food. I refused to eat it. The host did not agree to replace the food,
Minus: Food choice for vegetarian meal was horrible.
Plus: The crew was terrible. The aircraft from AUH to bangalore was in bad condition. My seat would keep coming back if reclined, my neighbour’s seat wouldn’t recline.
Minus: The airport in Abu Dhabi was a mess! There was zero organisation and etihad ground staff were not managing things either. My bag came back broken!

Plus: The crew made a bad decision concerning me and another passenger. I had extra leg room in front of him and he still insisted on crushing my knees with his reclining part of his seat. The stewardess choice to side with him because it was ok to crush my knees because he paid for a upgrade in seat,
Minus: I will be filing a complaint about this matter soon and request a refund for the total disrespect of me as a paying customer,which they did not value at all
Plus: The planes departed and landed on time.
Minus: My bag remained in London during flight change.Have direct flights to avoid such cases.

Minus: When the airline interrupts your trip last minute and passengers are trying hard to adjust their plans it would be nice to have a little appreciation from the airline team. And they do not have to be rude to people who are asking to explain the reason of the changes.

Minus: The delay leaving Heathrow was not so good.... missed connecting flight in Istanbul and no availability on the night flight. Had to re-book with Air Astana.
Plus: I did like the modern touch of the aircraft and it made me feel cozier.
Minus: The food options are not that great, and it is almost the same meal given over and over, which does not taste that great.
Minus: Air China solution to constant dripping water on a flight from LAX to Beijing (13hrs) was stuffing paper towels into the overhead bin which didn’t work. They were kind enough to offer to help me “fill out a complaint” after 2 weeks of trying to contact them. I will #neverflyairchina again!

Then my suitcase was busted open at Chicago O'Hare on the conveyor belt and ANA issued me a replacement on the spot. Two problems [ not their fault ] handled beautifully. ANA is truly amazing. Thank You !!
Minus: On the Copenhagen-Milan leg, since I was in the cheap seats, even water cost; $3 for a bottle of water. They couldn't even offer a cup of water for free? False economy. And I was told that I had to pay for my luggage at the airport, then it was $120 for 1 bag. Ridiculous!

Plus: Crew was amazing. They adjusted the seating arrangements so there was an empty seat in every row to give passengers more space. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. They served delicious meals, snacks, and water. They provided headphones, blankets and pillows. They took very good care of us.
