The signage is generally pretty good, but it was confusing getting off the airplane from Berlin and seeing a sign saying something like " foreigners." I waited in that very long line for at least 30 minutes which ate up most of my layover time. Only to find out that it was for people with visas coming into Turley. I was directed to another, poorly marked, line for people transferring planes."

When we landed, we waited literally 1.5h before they started handing out our electronics. All in all, it took me 4 hours to leave the airport."

Minus: "Every flight was 30+ minutes late. Crew members at the gate were consistently on their phones and delayed service substantially. Not only am I incredibly frustrated that I could not bring my laptop onboard to do work, but the fact I wasn't told until right at boarding and it took extensive time to reclaim it makes Turkish airlines on par with Ryan Air for inconveniencing its customers. At baggage claim, the crew loaded our baggage on the incorrect track, making it take even longer to receive it. Seats and leg room are sub par. As someone who is 6'3, when the person in front of me put their seat back, I was forced to take a metal bar on the back of their seat to my knees (no matter the position). I will be recommending to both family and friends that they should avoid this airline at all costs."

Minus: "As opposed to our amazing flight from San Francisco to Istanbul, with incredible, caring and attentive crew, this flight was the opposite. The crew seemed annoyed by our few requests. I felt denied water and so, dehydrated. I counted one smile The entire flight. The crew seemed unhappy and wanted to do only the bare minimum. Disappointing, especially after such an incredibly positive experience six weeks ago."

Minus: "The new carry-on laptop caused a delay of about 1 hr before departure and arrival an hour late, then claiming the laptop was almost a nightmare with long queue after picking up the luggages, one has to also claim their laptops in a make shift station In the baggage claims area. My suggestion is to put the computer laptops in alphabetic order by last name/surname, with the claim ticket,for easier access when picking up. As for departure, probably at check in to inform them that if you have a laptop carry-on so that can be taken care of right away as not to delay departure when they take it at the departing gate. This should be done at check in if in Turkey, or as a transferring traveler, to inform the traveler to take care of that as soon as arrived to transferring destination and for the traveler not to wait until boarding time at the boarding gate."

I am a Diabetic and needed it for circulation. I did not say anything but, the stewardess should have made one of the people go back to their seat as he was wedged near the window and sitting on the floor. It made my 13.25 hours trip very uncomfortable. They had a child with them so, I didn't wish to complain while on board."

We had to stand in line for an hour and a half just to hand over our laptops, where for some reason they decided to have only 2 people handling the process which created a huge line. The flight was 1:30 late and as we landed, there was no method to the delivery of the laptops to people. I had to wait almost 2 hours to get my laptop. Again, they only had 2-3 people handling the distribution of the laptops. I understand the security issue, but this issue was known for weeks now and there is no reason not to have enough people on the ground to take care of the boarding and distribution of electronic devices to at least make this an easier experience. There is no excuse for such poor preparation and service."

Minus: "First and foremost we were astonished and angered that the cabin crew would not allow any window shades to be open during the day- long flight. That is unhealthy and exacerbates the jet lag phenomena. An airplane is not a hotel and you have eye masks and such readily available for people sleeping. Oh, and I also like to look out the window! For this reason I am looking for another airline to fly for our semi annual trips overseas."

Plus: "I got extremely sick on the flight from Istanbul to San Francisco. I now know I caught a stomach bug which hit me on the flights from Cape Town to Istanbul and then even worse from Istanbul to San Francisco. The flight from Istanbul was delayed by two hours due to customs delay for a passenger, as such there was a lot of recycled air. Take that and fact I'm pregnant and by time i started the 13 hour journey already felt sick. I started throwing up immediately and got sick 12 more times. the flight attendants brought me crackers, water and a cold towel and ice. My husband asked if he could pay to put me in business class but was not in airline policy. but i think given how sick and pregnant i was the flight attendant went to ask the captain if there was anything they could do to assist. they ended up moving me to business class to lie down and let me stay there for 3 hours. I got sick upon moving back but getting that rest really helped me. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and am so thankful to the two flight attendants who assisted: 1) Zumrat Bolukbas 2) Hatice (Cabin Chief) These women are amazing!"

Minus: "Ugh. Weather delays. The flight was scheduled to board about 7P but it arrived late and they had to not only unload the self-loading cargo, but clean up afterwards. Would be nice to get a better estimate as to how long it would take to board so that I could hang out in the lounge. In addition, departure from JFK was delayed as well, either we missed the IFR window or got stuck behind some traffic and I fell asleep on the plane only to wake up what seemed an hour later just getting ready to hit V1. No upgrade."

Plus: "I didn't get a chance to get the gentleman's name at the gate, but he was able to get me on the earlier flight (since I had NO luggage and only 1 carry on that fit under my seat) and didn't charge me the stupid fee for filling a seat that was empty when I was giving up a seat on a later flight that would accommodate those who missed this earlier flight. Nice to see kindness in an industry that seizes fees on every opportunity."

Not anyone's fault but disappointing to have to do when I didn't plan on checking in and going to pick up at the baggage claim. This is what i wanted to avoid in the first place. could have at least offered to let us pick them up as we deplaned and not baggage claim!"

Minus: "The checkin and "Automated" Baggage Check were a disaster. It took us a full 2 hours to check our bags and get to thru security and our gate. We were practically running to get to the end. The layout of the airport is very tough to get from point A to point B. Walking a long distance with multiple security checks. On top of that, the plane was almost an hour late boarding and then taking off. It was a mass of people with no way to cue for an orderly boarding process. No instructions or info given to allow us to go get something to eat or drink prior to boarding."

And it was just one of many other problems and inconveniences with their website."

Minus: "This was a Lufhansa operated by United flight. My audio key pad stopped working and I could not hear the movie audio after the first movie. It was stuck on one music channel, which had a short playlist. The light stopped working as well. I could not use the personal device entertainment system because the United system doesn't work with my Silk browser on my Kindle. My biggest complaint, however, was the boarding process. Every three minutes a flight crew member would announce, "Please move into the seat area and don't block the aisle, we have a lot of people to board" in a very exasperated voice. I felt assaulted. I didn't see any United crew members helping people with their luggage or trying to find additional luggage space for customers as I have on British Air, Swiss, and Lufthansa flights. I get that luggage is heavy and people can sometimes be uncooperative and flight attendants may not have signed up to be baggage haulers, but could you please HIRE someone strong to help with loading luggage on international flights? I don't like being treated as someone who is standing in the way of a smooth boarding process."

I'm a DVT patient[got it a couple of years ago while flying back from China - didn't move during the entire flight] and need to move frequently and need legroom to stretch out my legs as much as possible when sitting. Anyway, having informed a crew member about my DVT condition, I asked if I could move in the empty area - mind you, that was after plane door was closed and boarding had been completed. She refused only to give after takeoff the area to a lady with a little dog in her purse. This flight was operated by United. Our household will from now on avoid any flight that's operated by United."

Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"

There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."

Minus: "300+ People on a plane will "radiate" heat, so the temperature inside the cabin after 6 hours was so hot that I was perspiring profusely. I even requested it be adjusted, which it seemed to be for a few minutes but then right back up to 27°C... it is too long of a flight to be that uncomfortable with no adjustments considered. I asked other passengers if they too were "uncomfortable" ALL said yes. This would have solved also in my opinion the screaming small children that were also obviously "irritated" A cooler cabin would have induced a "sleep" environment, none of which I was able to get. Sadly, based on this alone, I will not fly SAS again, unless Business Coach class or 1st Class. I was surprised that an additional Coca-Cola was charged for when some beverages were complimentary... puzzling."

When we checked in to our SAS flight in Newark, we were given a boarding pass for our infant without any heads up about the issue. We also got help with ordering bassinet from the gate agent, all without anything surfaced. It wasn't until we were boarding that we learned that we needed to buy a ticket and pay $400+ and nearly didn't make the flight. Can someone follow up now, as we need to make sure this issue has now been resolved for our return flight to SFO on Thursday July 6th"
